im sure this has been ask before but i cant seem to find the thread anywhere .... Can i play NBA Live 08 for PC without the CD? if so how? and is it worth it? (meaning is it better to play with the CD)

Reason you can't find the thread anywhere is because it's illegal, user banned, and thread locked.

Jing is absolutely right. Illegal stuff like that will almost always get you banned. If you want to play NBA Live '08, why not just get a legal copy on PC DVD-ROM and be done with it?
