Lakers decide to let Ronny Turiaf leave

Well, good luck to Ronny. Hope he brings the same passion to GS.

At first I thought: Why not let Mihm go instead of Turiaf? Then, I thought: Who would offer Mihm any contract???

Oh well, it's not like he actually has any talent.

I can only imagine how annoying it is to play with the guy...

"OMG basketball! I love basketball! My life is basketball! Wait... is that a basketball? I can't resist! Must... chase... ball! Basketball! Yay! Basketball! I LOVE this game! Do you love this game Kobe? Not as much as I do! Go team! I love this game! I...love...this...game! This is the NBA baby, where Ronny Turiaf happens! I am this game! I love all of you so much.............. Yeah! Basketball! OMG basketball! I love basketball! My life is basketball! Wait... is that a basketball? I can't resist! Must... chase... ball! Basketball! Yay! Basketball! I LOVE this game! Do you love this game Kobe? Not as much as I do! Go team! I love this game! I...love...this...game! This is the NBA baby, where Ronny Turiaf happens! it was obvious that he'll be less needed for upcoming season since bynum is coming back.

altho he's not a significant difference maker in the game, i think he will be somewhat solid paint player for gsw. his jumpshot from 20ft is quite consistent as well.

Yeah, he's an energy guy alright. Bench players on teams who go to the Finals are always praised to no end.

That explains why Tyrone Lue still has a job playing in the NBA.

Ronny is way more better than Mihm...but i believe that if the Lakers have some cap left, they'll resign Ronny...but wait

Turiaf is a hustle player and fits well in a team like GSW

We will see if he plays, we know Don Nelson¡s little rotation

Why would Turiaf leave the Lakers? More money? To start or get more playing time?

The Lakers probably would have liked to have kept him but not for that price. As far as Turiaf is concerned, I'm sure the money is a factor but he can probably see the writing on the wall with Bynum's return crowding the frontcourt. He should have a decent opportunity for a reasonable amount of PT with the Warriors.

I don't know about this. Mihm is just injured but during the downfall of LA back in 04-05, for me, he's playing well. But Turiaf is a big loss though.

i wonder if the lakers will let vujacic walk away too. he's got room to develop especially in mental part, so should be exciting where ever he goes.

Azubike I think is still available, if I were GM of a team looking for a 2-guard, I'd rather go for him over Vujacic. I don't think there is much interest for Vujacic on the market.

I am actually quite happy to see Turiaf go. And right now I am hoping the Lakers could sign somebody that could play interior D on the second unit. Having somebody that can really intimidate in the paint can really help spark the Laker's transition offense when the starting 5 is on the bench. I wouldn't feel too sorry if the Lakers sent away radman in exchange for stromile swift or joel przybilla.

Wasn't there a thread a couple days ago saying that Azubuike signed with the Clippers?

Yeah, he signed with the Clipps.

Big ol' shark needs to work on his basketball info.

Anyhow, Vujacic is an extremely promising player with an assload of potential. I'd love to have that guy on my team and would give him the mid-level.

It is an offer sheet. It is technically still possible for the GSW to make a sign and trade deal for Azubuike and even actually match the offer, up until friday.

If there is anything we learned from Dallas and George last season, don't believe a contract is final until you actually see the player playing on his new team.
