Sure, I will bandwagon a team if my favorite is out (I am rather fond of Utah), and I care about individual players as much as I do teams, but I don't adopt an avatar of the team, speak of myself as part of the bandwagon team or make 100 posts in the thread about Summer League rookie progress, but that is just me.
I've read columns that opine that doing that constitutes jumping on the bandwagon but I don't agree. I don't think there's anything wrong with having a preference as to who'd you like to see win when your favourite team is out of the running, if you're passionate about the sport and appreciate players other than those who play for your favourite team you're bound to have an interest in other teams. It doesn't mean you follow them though.
