if they dealt josh howard, they would lose a promising young talent that can both play on the offensive and defensive end.. but passing on artest, you would lose the opportunity of having an experienced player, who can play excellent defense, and can also score.. and both are controversial and have attitude problems.. what do you think??

well, there you have it.. you've finally seen that kind of a post.. i just wanna know the opinion of others, on what do they think about this, if it's a good deal or not.. if you don't want to talk about it, then you don't need to reply.. there are lots of other rumors posted there that already happened.. if that's what you like, then go and reply there.. not here.. ok?

actually, the refusal of the Mavs did happen, so I think you can't say that it didn't happen..

artest should just be traded from sack-town especially after he said he made a mistake deciding to stay. thats never good having someone hang around who obviously doesnt want to be there

I wouldn't trade Howard for Artest either. Though I love Artest in NBA 2K8.

I would trade Howard for Artest. The Mavs need a change-up. I wonder if they have a better pythag record with or without Artest.

How does Josh Howard have attitude problems? Because he smokes pot? That's not an attitude problem, it just means he's being honest.

Mavs are offering Bass and Stackhouse, Kings want Howard. Both Howard and Artest (and Kidd) are off the books at the end of next season, as is Stackhouse's, equalling a shitload of money since both Finley and Bradley's contracts came off this year. The Mavs would still have Dirk and Bass (who could be extended) and we could sign Lebr-, uh, one or two of those guys.

Not worth the risk though, the Mavs gotta be careful about who they use Kidd. They already made him adjust to a completely different system with different players.

i agree. we should have a rumors thread or something.

or maybe one for all the posts for links to rumors on realgm/hoopshype/LATimes that we get.

and for the record, the Mavs are planning on signing Darius Miles and having him blossom into a superstar.
http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/ ... mavericks/
While exhausted, Thomsen reports that at the end Miles jumped flat-footed and touched the top of the backboard square, showing he still has some explosion in his leap.

not bad for a guy with a fucked up knee. we'll see how decent he is when he's in basketball shape.
