NBA Referee Mistakes

Postby GaZuN on Thu Jul 03, 2008 7:49 am

Here I searched for thread like this one, but didn't founds.. So as the title said.. Post or comment the biggest referee mistakes form now or from the past..

Here.. For me.. This seasson the biggest ref mistake was in the game Toronto - Atlanta, when the game wining layup of TJ Ford was uncouted..
Here watch this video.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nt1jHSh8RR4

As you can see the clock was on 0.5 before the imbound. And when it stared to count, there was a space between the ball and Ford's hands.. It was 0.4 in this time..

And as the final result show that in the NBA.. a 0.1 mistake can be the key for Winning/loosing a game :x

Then both Atlanta and Pacers would´ve had 36 wins each, I think Pacers would have been in PO, because they won 2 match between them out of 3

Only a matter of time before Michael Jordan's shot against Utah in 1998 is posted.

I still think the non-call on Fisher during the Lakers/Spurs series was a blown decision as it's one that would be made at any other point in the game. At the very least, it's an example of the way the game being called differently to the way the league claims it's called, which is the same from opening tip to final buzzer; if they're going to make players work harder for calls like that in the closing minutes, that should be the creed instead.

That is not even the play in question from that game.

I'm guessing you mean the three pointer at the end of the first half? There is that but given the fuss that's been made over the push-off for the past decade, I'd assume that would be the more questionable call in most people's eyes since it decided the game.

To talk about the most irritating and/or infuriating bad calls/referee mistakes, I guess.
