i know this is an old clip. but it got me thinking about how the SUNS would look with vince carter. he has the perimiter shot that they miss without Marion being there... and it would essentially be the same situation as new jersey... except he wouldnt be the first option, Nash is peaking (not fading like Kidd) and he would have two dominant big men to play with (even if one of them is fading).

so, what are the chances?

I'd say the chances are slim to none. Who would they be giving up to get him?

There can be a package of Diaw, Barbosa + picks...

But it would be an ugly trade :)

lol the nets are in full rebuilding mode for lebron. getting diaw and barbosa would ruin cap room for their future. also if the suns acquired vc, they would be pretty damn old and have no bench left.
PPL r a little feisty these days:D

mamanip, you might want to read/watch before posting to avoid being picked by your own idiocy.. posting in a "dumb thread" (as you've said) isn't an excuse to become dumb too..

this would be my last response concerning you getting pawned for this isn't the right thread for that..

JENZ's sig > mananip's sig

I will answer this thread's question: No. Even Steve Kerr wouldn't trade for Carter.

It's unlikely he could, even if he wanted to. Unless Vince Carter pulls...well, another Vince Carter, the asking price is probably going to be higher than the Suns can afford given the players they'd be willing to give up.

at this point if the nets were smart they would trade him, trade him for future assests, be it draft picks or young players. its obvious they are gearing up for free agency so why not go the entire way. a top 3 pick in next years draft is just what they need to help lure the big free agents

That rules out the Suns, barring a complete collapse they're not going to have any lottery picks anytime soon.

i dont see how this is a "dumb" thread. i was simply stating that shaq still wants to play with carter, and i was curious about how that could happen still. apparently i am dumb for thinking it could happen. just as dumb as someone thinking Pau Gasol could be traded for Kwame Brown.... weirder things have happened you know.

It's not a "dumb" thread.
Personally, I wouldn't want them together. Vince Carter is one of my favorite players, however... Shaq is not.

It's certainly not a "dumb" thread but given the age of the video it's just speculation. An interesting thought but an unlikely scenario in my opinion.
