A ton of jersey requests, who has time? =)

Hey all, I've been wanting to have extra jerseys for teams for quite a while; but all I have are concepts. Tough for me to understand and prepare myself for jersey-creating/modifying on my own.

They're just really simple, though, all I did was, get a picture of the jersey, and switch colors around. They're just alternate jerseys for when I and some friends (if they come over and want to play) want to use them anyway. So I'm requesting whoever has quite a bit of free time out there to try these jerseys out...could be a breeze for you guys.

I could have done more alts for more teams, but I'm not really creative.

Oh, P.S. If someone does make them, can they just give a unique filename to the jerseys? I wouldn't want to overwrite/spend countless minutes renaming "away" to "ser5" or something like that. I don't want to replace jerseys hehe. Probably start at ser5, like for example an LA Lakers jersey would be lalaser5.viv right? ser5, or c30a (because there was no NBA in the 1930's; it'd be safe for every team, lol!)

But that's just optional, though.


And P.P.S. Jersey portraits are also optional; if you guys are really busy, I understand. The jersey description's directly underneath it anyway, right?

^Yeah, that's what I was trying to go after. I wanted to try and mix some old looks with the current jerseys. Red Washington Bullets jersey, Red Sonics jersey, Purple Hornets jersey, MPLS Lakers (my favorite), Black Kings jersey...I'm trying others, but it's tough.

I'm trying to figure out how I can do them, since tutorials can only take me so far, I'm a tough learner. But, being a Digital Arts student, I might be able to get the hang of it some time or another.

the colors on the numbers of the sonics jersey are U-G-L-Y.. too bright in my opinion
only the recoloring of the wizards jersey look attractive to me.

All you have to do to make these jerseys, since these are just recolors are, export the jersey file found on the jersey fsh files open the image with photoshop or any photo editing software you have, make a new layer, set it to hue and start recoloring it to your likeness. Since your a digital arts student, you'll figure it out how to make a good recolor using photoshop.

regarding the bright colors...yeah, a lot of them are too bright for me too; but I remember working on these at like 3AM, lol. Plus my monitor isn't exactly awesome, lmao.

So all I need for recoloring is just Photoshop? Anything else I would need, like a plugin or w/e? I just work on it, save it as a different file...? I think I can do that; especially now, now that I finished my internship workload for the week...

yeah pretty much.. you'll just need fshx and bigGUI to extract the jersey from nba live.
you can find tutorials around the forum on how to extract jerseys from the game.

Okay, I tried one. I have this problem though; the name part of the jersey has black squares in-game. Anyone know what might be the problem there?

did you recolor the letters to? into what file type did you save it as? it should be png so that it will preserve it's transparency.

Ah ha! There was where I went wrong. I think I also saved it as .dds or something. Thanks master fran!
