To me it's very untimely for Undertaker to "retire." One Night Stand isn't just the event for having that "retirement" match.

I figured it wouldn't be permanent this time but when I read that he was taking some time off, I expected it to be a few months and that now looks like it might not be the case. So much the better.

I also checked and there are a few tickets left for the show in Newcastle, so I might end up going yet.

I just saw Raw last week's episode and Chris Jericho turned heel. I think he has greater character as a heel.

Also, I just read in wrestlezone that John Cena might be headed to Smackdown in the draft.

Turning Jericho was a good move. He's always been excellent as a cocky heel and he wasn't getting a bit enough reaction as a face after the initial excitement his return generated.

I'd be surprised if Cena was moved to Smackdown. It would freshen things up a bit but Vince McMahon remains very high on him as he currently sells the most merchandise and gets a reaction one way or the other, which suggests it would be in the WWE's best interests to keep him on the A show. I guess we'll see though.

I've read that Undertaker is supposedly returning in July. Presumably he'll be returning to Smackdown so it will be interesting to see how they accomplish that. Perhaps some higher authority will step in and reverse some of Vickie Guerrero's decisions, or maybe they'll just go with the idea that Taker's character does whatever he pleases.

I think it's time to make the HBK-Y2J feud for the Intercontinental Championship. Shawn needs some boss-love.

Doesn't sound like it's in the works, though I still like the idea of HBK winning the IC belt and reforming DX with HHH. It's not as though the IC title is effectively used to elevate talent outside a couple of wrestlers who tend to slip straight back to the midcard.

I've watched a bit of TNA since FOX8 started airing it here. Can't say I was particularly impressed, I don't think wrestling is in a particularly strong era at the moment. I suppose I can't speak for pureso though.

I ordered a few recent WWE DVD releases including the new Rock DVD which arrived today. The extras include a whole lot of his promos and one-liners; Hollywood's gain is definitely the WWE's loss.

What do you guys think, will there be any major shake ups in tomorrow's draft?
Any predictions?

Supposedly Cena, MVP, and CM Punk are likely to change brands.

I hear Cena's going back to Smackdown to start a rivalry with Edge.
And for some reason, I have a feeling Batista will go back to RAW? Who knows?
By the way, does anyone know when Rey Mysterio's coming back?

Rey should be back after the draft or so.

Yep...I have that dvd as well and you're right. However, so far I can say he made a better wrestler than he does an actor. Don't get me wrong..the guy can act but I just feel like he hasn't found his niche yet. He seems to be playing the field in terms of picking his roles..and it's been more miss than hit. I hope for the sake of the fans like myself...he makes an appearance at wrestlemania 25 and that movies like witch mountain and shazam propel him into the stratosphere career wise...cause he's a great guy.

Are we seeing a pimped World Heavyweight Championship belt?

I read that a spinner version of the World Heavyweight Championship belt has been ordered, furthering the rumours of Cena heading to Smackdown. I also read that HHH has lobbied to return to a traditional design for the WWE Championship belt but McMahon is reluctant because the spinner belts are amongst the top selling merchandise, so unless things change I guess we'll be seeing two spinner belts. I can't say I'm thrilled, I think the gimmick has run its course and should only be used if Cena is the reigning champion.

Agreed. A few more DVDs arrived today including the new HHH one and Wrestlemania 24. Ric Flair's acceptance speech at the Hall of Fame is definitely worth watching. I also ordered Bret Hart's book which arrived today.

Damn, I was really hoping to see the old WWE Championship belt (the one Shawn held) design now that Cena is moving away from RAW. I personally think that the spinner belts should be removed, like kids are the only ones who love it.

Spinner belts again?! I don't like them and they should just stick with the traditional design of the belts.

I've never cared for the spinner concept though it was tolerable for a while when Cena first won the belt as the gimmick matched his character. It's grown stale though, especially with other wrestlers holding the belt.

The spinner thing won't go away...it's an evolution due to pop culture. HHH said himself he's not a fan of rap and that he's more of a motorhead/rock kinda guy...which is obvious. I'm not suprised he wants it changed but I happen to like it being a child of hip hop myself.

Has anyone else who frequents the news and rumours websites paid for the premium section? I recently subscribed to the premium content over at Wrestling News World, even though I'm not usually one to pay to read content online. It's fairly cheap though so I thought I'd give it a try for twelve months, it's interesting to get that extra inside scoop.

I also started reading Bret Hart's book this evening. Pretty good so far though I'm still very early on in the book, still talking about his childhood and entrance into his father's Stampede Wrestling promotion.

As a special treat for the forum members.. I'll post a live feed on the first and second picks for the WWE Draft. (since I have to go soon)

First match: Triple H (RAW) vs. Mark Henry (Smackdown)
Triple H wins with a pedigree and RAW wins the first pick in the WWE Draft.
And with the first pick, the new wrestler on RAW is...
REY MYSTERIO!

...HOLY SHIT! THANKS FOR THE FALSE INFO BIG GREEN!
Haha no seriously! I didn't expect this at all! Wow.
In other notes, Triple H welcomes Rey surprisingly calmly.

_____________________________________________________________

Second match: Finlay & Hornswoggle (Smackdown) vs. Santino Marella & Carlito (RAW)
The Irish duo wins in a not too surprising match up.
And with the second pick, the new wrestler on Smackdown is...
JEFF HARDY!

..Wow. Another shocker. It seems like the Hardy Boys may re-unite.

So much for Jeff's push on the A show. Perhaps for the best though, Smackdown needs a shakeup and I can see Hardy being in the title picture again there.

5. Jim Ross to Smackdown
6. Michael Cole to Raw
7. Batista to Raw
8. Umaga to Smackdown
9. Kane to Raw

I can't imagine Jim Ross is too happy about that. I don't think that's a good move at all, JR and King are the best announce team and should both be on the A show. HHH to Smackdown is surprising too, since I read that it was unlikely he'd be on the same show as Taker due to some issues between them. Perhaps Taker will make his return on RAW instead.

Triple H on Smackdown? :? I thought he doesn't want to be there because it's considered as the B show.

Triple H being on Smackdown means there is two champs. Maybe Batista will win the WHC and bring it to Raw?

Edit: I just saw Vince's "accident". I think they'll gonna use this angle to end the Million Dollar Mania.
