Wrong area.

I don't. My PC sucks.

Fri Jun 20, 2008 10:10 am

why ur pc sucks?

Fri Jun 20, 2008 10:22 am

Because I don't have an expensive gaming PC. Mine has trouble running San Andreas. Also, the power source is fucked right now.

This should still be in Video Games Central.

One of the best games I have ever played.
The sequence where you're inside the alien's cave is amazing. (Y)

Depending on the rest of your stuff, you should be fine. My GTS allows me to play at 1680x1050 with almost everything to max (using the remarkable Natural Mod).

I have Crysis but my Computer is to slow

I just got through it. It was an awesome game even a little better than FarCry. The part where you are floating around in the alien cave was kind of boring and a headache at times. I though the game would get better at the alien parts but I think I enjoyed the first half a little better. I can't wait for the sequel non the less even though you will only be fighting aliens.

:?:
If you're referring to Crysis: Warhead that will be released in a few weeks, it's not a sequel, it's the same story with a different point of view, namely Psycho's. As far as I know there is no sequel planned where it would only be about fighting aliens. I think by now Crytek knows that's the part of the game that players liked the least...

What about at the end of Crysis when they start flying back to the island? I also heard that it starts out in the ice as If you are back on the island. Thats why I called it a sequel....

Tue Aug 26, 2008 12:35 am

Well, like I said, Warhead will have you play as Psycho, the British dude, instead of Nomad, but the timeline stays the same, it just all happens on another side of the island.
I'm not saying there won't be a sequel that starts right afte the end of Crysis, but it's certainly not Crysis: Warhead.

i have warhead right now but i haven't installed it...maybe i'll give it a try later now with an overview from el_badman i think im gonna like this one also..

Warhead is excellent fumanchu. Even if it's a standalone, it's sort of an expansion pack, so it's shorter than the original one, but it's packed with great action sequences, it has some really pacing to it, and it's even more gorgeous and optimized than Crysis too. Definitely one of the best purchases you can make this year for 30 bucks (especially if you can afford to play it at max settings).

Here is a preview from the E3.
Since most people (including me)seemed to like the first Crysis mainly for its first half, fighting human beings and not aliens, I'm not sure if this one will quite as fun though...

The aliens pretty much killed it. :(

Crysis is Turkish, isnt it?

Re: Crysis?

Thu Jun 17, 2010 1:25 pm

It's made by Crytek, which is a German company, but owned by two Turkish brothers.

An early version of Crysis 2 has just been leaked, showing once again what's plaguing PC gaming these day, aka fucking retards who are ruining it for everyone else. This is what Crytek had to say about it.

Console games get leaked way before release too. Just look at the last two Halo games. They were both leaked in the summer before their release. If you want to pin the blame on someone, pin it on the employee that leaked it. A developer beta build of a game is not something that just appears on torrent sites
Already the "PC piracy" excuse for your own incompetence not securing your own game. The fault is already ours even if we didn't done anything at all in this case
There's just as much piracy on Xbox, you idiot.
Looks like someone at CryTek needs to be fired and taken to court. Pretty lame that these employees leak stuff and then we the customer are the ones who have to suffer for it. It's unacceptable! Keep your house clean CryTek, it is no one's responsibility but your own to make sure your PC, XBOX and PS3 games don't leak onto the internet. Don't let this kind of stuff slip out from under your nose. We will support you as long as you give us reason to. Keep your own house clean and in check
Steams proven that Piracy doesn't damage PC gaming. You just need to charge the correct price and give good support. To be honest I wont be surprised if you see hundreds of thousands of Illegal downloads on this products to "Test" it before release, Primarily because PC Gamers are fedup of developers terrible console ports and no support

I see your point, but the impact on PC gaming from piracy is hardly comparable to the one on console gaming.
From http://www.tweakguides.com:
This leak, combined with statistics like Call of Duty: Black Ops, the biggest hit of 2010, being pirated 4.3 million times on the PC, versus 930,000 times on the XBox 360, yet the PC version making up only 6% of sales, makes you wonder if any major developer will consider PC gaming worth the bother in the future. MMOs, casual puzzle games and multiplayer games, as well as quick console ports, are about all that seem to be viable now on the PC. At least until PC gamers develop some semblance of respect for developers, and drop the self-entitlement attitude which piracy encourages.
