yeah it was pretty annoying when the game told you to chase after them but you didn't know whether it was a mission where you have to kill them as they're getting away or if it's one of those where you can never catch up to them (the enemy moves unnaturally fast) to follow them to another point in the city where you kill them.

Key with motorcycle missions is remembering to break or atleast hover your finger over it....cause the enemy will take sudden turns. Keep glancing at the radar to get a heads up to where they are going. Only motor cycle mission that gave me alot of trouble was the one where the bikers rode on the subway and I had to keep up plus dodge trains.

Didn't find snowstorm so hard. The first time I messed up cause I tried to fun out and jump into the river, but a police boat ran over me as I tried to get to a getaway boat. The 2nd time just killed a bunch of guys from the outside with the sniper rifle, then took cover after getting into the building and tossed several grenades in. Walked out of the mission fairly unharmed.

Actually one of the missions I had a lot of trouble with was Playboy X's Deconstruction mission. 2 or 3 times the grenades you were suppose to toss didn't go where they were suppose to, and other times Niko for some reason would lock on to one person and not able to switch away, and just get lit up by other gunners. Think one main reason was I was rushing, cause I thought the 3rd union leader was going to get on the helicopter and leave, but apparently not and I just took it easy and stayed in cover.

After accidentally blowing myself up, I stopped using grenades(the controls are sluggish compared to previous GTAs) and switched to my trusty assault rifle. Job done. I nailed the final union leader as he was climbing down the building stairs - sweet.

'Snow Storm" took me a couple of tries because I got lost trying to get out of the damn building. Once I learned my way, I hauled ass past the cops, jumped in the water and sped away in the boat.

Been dying a lot more recently in the later missions in the game... Just the presence of cops are so significant. I am in a mission and I fire one shot, and I get a wanted level. So usually I end up fighting guys with SMGs and like several cop cars at once. I usually take cover from the gangsters, but the cops are firing on me from the open side, so I take fire from both sides...

In the mission where you work for Jimmy and have to kill the other family at the AutoErotica shop, I've died like 4 or 5 times in a row and had to turn the console off before I caused some damage in the room. I'll be fighting the guys, who have very strong weapons, and like 20 cops will be trying to kill me as well. Just no way to kill the gangsters fast enough.

We should like get a huge NLSC game going or something

Today I finally got the game. I finished the first missions and I find it awesome so far. The phsyics and the car damage, all looks great. I still have some problems with driving though, just can't get to drive curves fast, I either don't get it and drive past the curve, or I use the handbrake and completely curl into the other direction.
I will probably have some problems to learn the city, too. So big and detailed.

took me a little while to get the driving down also but i actually like it alot more this way. well expect during the chase missions where you cannot catch them until a certain point and the computer goes super fast and can take turns at insane speeds without going off the road

Use the left trigger often, you can't whip around corners like in previous GTAs anymore. You need to drive it like an actual car, where you start slowing down when you reach a turn and everything. It gets quite annoying sometimes where if you clip the curb, you entire car flips and you end up losing the guy.

I agree, when it comes to driving you can't play it like the last generation of GTA games where you still had braking distances but the car physics were a lot more forgiving.

I got 100% and i have barely touched it since. I dont know if im bored of the sandbox idea after playing 5 GTA games, or if its that there honestly not much to do after you get 100%. I thought i would do dating after i beat it, but that seems limited. Thought there would be a lot more possibilities, more gfs to date. Activities are somewhat boring now. The Multiplayer isnt as fun as i thought it would be.

Maybe the expansion packs will liven things up once they're released?

I have a question. In one of the first missions you have to steal a car for Vlad, (I believe that mission before you kill him). So you drive to the car and you have to take out a guy who's cleaning it. In that mission we learn a new attack, it's a punch to take somebody down with one hit and make him unconscious. That only works if you're not in a fight. You have to aim at him and then get so close that the target changes into a small red point. Then tap B and Niko knocks him down.
Everything worked fine in the mission, of course. But later on, I tried to do that move on pedestrians, but it simply doesn't work. The target doesn't even change to that point. Any ideas?

Maybe the expansion packs will liven things up once they're released?

What would they include? New missions?

It has been known that they will include new missions, however a plane ticket on the rockstar social website for San Andreas as well as some producer saying that the DLC will be to IV as Vice City & San Andreas were to III seriously hints to a new city.
Opinions are my own.

That would surely add sufficient replay value to the game. Makes me wonder about the cost of the DLC though.

I'd drop 60 (the USD cost of a new game) on it, but I think the rumor was around 20 dollars.

Seems reasonable if it's big enough to be its own game, though I doubt I'll get the same value with the cost of Microsoft points here in Australia.

Im betting the DLC is just new story lines. I heard it will add 10 hours of gameplay. Im only guessing, but i think there is a good chance of the DLC being you playing as Niko going after that one guy that you "screwed" before the game takes place. He only makes a small appearance, and then nothing is ever heard from him. So it has to deal with him i am thinking. But i wouldnt doubt the DLC end up being like the "Stories" games for PSP/PS2. Same city, different time, maybe some parts of the city is different, maybe the roller coasters will actually work. Maybe even play as another character from the main game.

Even so, that's better than most content available on XBL.

A Wii patch is not available at this time. Also, the game will never be on the Wii.

Makes sense.

So anyone still playing it?
I have the game for a month now, and I am still enjoying it alot. I really take my time playing these games. I think it's much more satisfying taking your time betwwen missions, doing side missions and just driving around than just rushing through the story. So it happens that I have only finished ~ 45%. At the moment I really like searching the cars for Stevie. (Btw Anyone knows where I can get an Infernus other than in the theft for Stevie?)

Anyway, the actual reason I post here, is because there are good news for PC users
