Reporter: Last year the Hornets finished 39 and 43, what do you think is different from
last year's squad tp this year's squad?

Byron Scott:Well first of all we have filled up our bench with talent to surround Chris Paul.
Secondly, almost everything is new, form the arena to our front office.

Reporter: Did you say around Chris Paul?

Byron Scott: Yessss sir.

Reporter: Many people say he isn't the type of leader that LeBron James may be or Kobe
Bryant.

Byron Scott: Personally I believe he is as good as any player in the league and I believe he is
the best player at his position.

Reporter: Even over the 2 time MVP Steve Nash?

Byron Scott: By far, you just watch out this season for the Hornets and Chris Paul.

Reporter: Thank you for your time Mr. Scott.

Byron Scott: No problem.

Hornets Get First Victory Of The Season!

Despite Hornets star Chris Paul going down with a wrist injury in the first quarter the
Hornets managed to score 31 points. As Chris Paul headed back to the arena all he
could hear was the crowd roaring. This was because the Hornets and the Kings
were matching Basket for Basket, Dunk for Dunk. He would come back in the 3rd and
finished with 17 points, 11 assists and 4 steals.

When Paul went out the bench decided to step up. Hornets bench scored 72 of the
150 points. They were lead by rookie Julian Wright with 24 points and the other
unlikely rookie Vladan Stegnjaic who had 20 points of his own to add.

On the other side, the Kings played a tremendous game. Lead by Kevin Martin with with
34 points and Ron Artest with 32 points.

You should shorten quarter length.

Good luck with this. It looks... alright; but I've been surprised before.

Tue Jun 17, 2008 2:03 am

alright i will shorten it a minute

Tue Jun 17, 2008 2:24 am

Yes, you shold do it. Scores are too big.
Good luck in your dynasty, Vladan!

Try not to trade Peja and Chris Paul! ;)

Tue Jun 17, 2008 3:48 am

Try to get a better 3-point shooter. You got 1-15 from outside the field.

Wouldn't have been a problem if Peja took all 15. ;P

Tue Jun 17, 2008 4:32 am

I'm definitely not gonna trade Peja..... I'm Serbian too :)

Wed Jun 18, 2008 12:57 am

Hello, Serbian brother! :) Good luck with your dynasty!

Wed Jun 18, 2008 1:51 am

First time here...
Of course trading Peja would be stupid, he's the best shooter in your team, right?.
It's weird to see Andersen playing more minutes than Chandler. :?

Looks promising, Good luck (Y)

3-Game Report (New Orleans Hornets 3 - 0)
Game 1:
Sacramento Kings : 139
New Orleans Hornets : 150

Truly a great home opener, both teams fought for 4 quarters than the home town hornets took over in OT. Chris Paul won the player in the game despite a broken bone in his wrist.

Game 3:
Portland Trailblazers : 68
New Orleans Hornets : 98

The Hornets proved they could operate without their star Chris Paul! Peja Stojakovic stepped up in the fourth quarter despite having a horrendous first half.

Welcome Back to the NBA Mr.Miller
Image

The NBA officially welcome back Reggie Miller. Except this time he is a Hornet instead of a Pacer. We recently caught up with Reggie as he was entering the practise facility with rookie Vladan Stegnjaic.

Reporter: How does it feel to be back Reggie?

RM: Ohh man its a wonderful feeling, I'm surprised how in shape I still am!

Reporter: Why did you choose to sign with the Hornets instead of the Pacers?

RM: First of all, the rumor of me and the Pacer GM is false, but I did decide to join the Hornets because the Pacers are rebuilding and they couldn't use an old man like me.

Reporter: And you Vladan Stegnjaic how does it feel to be playing with a great like Reggie Miller?

VS: Its a wonderful feeling, I grew up watching this guy, I modeled my entire outside game based on Reggie's.

Reporter: Thank you for your time gentlemen, I look forward to seeing you in tomorrow's game.

Thu Jun 19, 2008 3:57 am

You definitely have some strong outside shooters.
