I think C's will win this year, then the Lakers, with Bynum next year, will contend again for the Finals...C's time is now....

Yes they've already won. We're only waiting for the fourth win or for formality sake.

Not in the manner that Kobe announced it. KG never actually officially demanded a trade and he even said he wanted to remain in Minny, but they dealed him away.

But damn....what a horrible let down by the Lakers. I think the worst came from Jackson playing the unproductive reserves(FARMAR) for too long and I have no clue why Ariza gets less than 10 minutes with all the momentum he generated in the late 1st Quarter/Early 2nd Quarter. Posey and House were clutch in the 4th, some of those shots were just unbelievably lucky. Vujavic just completely erased his Game 3 performance with his horrible game today, he just let Allen drive right to the basket and nobody came to help on that iso play.

lamrock. wrote:Is it just me, or is Vladimir Radmanovic the new Fatoine Walker? I don't have any stats to back myself up, but every time I see him on the court, he drags the team down with him with a bunch of missed threes.

I thought he was decent tonight, compared to Game 1 and 3, and he certainly hasn't stooped down to Fatoine's level quite yet. For the past three games, the Lakers always opened early with Radmonovic hitting an open corner three and then they never run that play again.

I gave Vujacic some free passes earlier in the season, what with his three at the end of the Spurs game and all, but after seeing him try to trip Ray Allen, and his temper tantrum, it made me realize: Vujacic is a fucking bitch.

Fell asleep with the TV on, and woke up with the game in the 4th quarter and C's leading, was like wtf? Astounding comeback by the C's

When Allen blew by Vujacic, you can see him yell "Pau!", but Gasol shifted over too late to prevent the lefty layup

Simply astounding to watch. I don't know if you could call it the greatest Finals game in history because there's been plenty of memorable games that have featured their own improbable scenarios and unbelievable heroics but this has to rank up there. I wouldn't put it atop my personal list either but then my personal list is subject to a lot of Bulls bias. Nevertheless, one of the most incredible Finals games I've ever seen.

After the slow start, I didn't give the Celtics a chance. I intended to watch the game to the end but I figured every attempt at a Celtics run would be quickly stamped out and for just over 30 minutes it seemed a reasonable enough assumption. Even when it was close throughout the fourth, I had a feeling that the Lakers would reassume control once Kobe's dunk made it 81-77. Boston stepped up though, completing an incredible and somewhat bizarre turnaround. I never would have thought it possible the way they were run right out of the building in the first half.

With the history of 3-1 series leads on Boston's side it's hard not to say it's over at this point but it wouldn't surprise me all that much if the series does go back to Boston. I expect Kobe to be extremely aggressive in Game 5, coming close to 40 points if not exceeding it and another tight game that goes down to the wire. I doubt they can overcome the odds with the Celtics having three chances to win one more game though, but I guess there's a first time for everything so it's not surprising there's still some optimism left amongst Lakers fans.

You can now post all your youtubes and all other lakers dumping stuffs right here. I believe that you already have those plans right before the start of the series

Come on, being a fan of LeBron James automatically means you're either a teenager or childish? Rubbish. You could just as easily throw out a blanket statement about anyone who likes Kobe Bryant and the Lakers, especially given the tendency of Lakers fans to cry foul whenever someone "hates" on the Lakers while they do plenty of "hating" themselves. How is that behaviour not childish? Why are Lakers fans allowed to be anti-whomever (anti-Spurs, for example) but it's a sign of immaturity or stupidity if someone doesn't like the Lakers?

Tell me that if the Lakers hadn't completed a blowout victory in Game 4, there wouldn't be gloating from Lakers fans and fans who simply dislike the Celtics alike. Tell me there wouldn't be gloating if it was the Lakers who were up 3-1 at this point. If the Western Conference Finals thread in this Forum and countless threads all over the Internet are any indication, it wouldn't be any different because that's what fans are like. Fanatical. Fanatical in their support and devotion, fanatical in their dislike.

I don't know who he was trying to fool complaining about the foul call on the attempted trip. Even if we're to give him the benefit of the doubt and call it accidental, it's a foul. Bill Simmons seemed to enjoy the tantrum on the bench.

As far as the officiating is concerned, there were a few suspect calls on both sides but most of those could be chalked up to human error and with the Lakers being whistled for 23 fouls to the Celtics' 24 and the Celtics attempting 28 free throws to the Lakers' 29, you couldn't ask for more down the middle officiating after all the recent scandal.

Would you have considered it a lucky game if the Lakers had been the ones to storm back from 24 down? I'm guessing not. I appreciate your passion for your favourite team and all but come on, give credit where credit is due.

As a Laker fan, I'm just hoping that the series will not end on Sunday and I hope that Paul Pierce will now stop faking injuries.

The credability of your post was negated with that last statement alone kid, You == EPIC FAIL!!. Nice try though....i'll give you a grade E for epic.

(being a kobe bryant fan automatically means you're a teenager or a kid regardless of what your age is)

See how incredbily stupid that sounds as an argument? Who's the teen? lol

Everyone speaking of the laker's "bright future" seem to forget that the other western conference teams keep changing and getting better every year. There have been different west teams going to the finals almost every year...so nothing is garunteed. You'd better hope bynum doesn't become a lemon after not playing for almost a year.

Only if you take Yohance's post out of context, considering he was responding to the exact same sentiment expressed towards LeBron James fans.

lol..... although im a kobe fan, this finals performance should rest any comparison with jordan for a while...... what kobe should have done is go lebron on the celtics like last years ecf game 5 and just shred them up.... god knows he has enough skill and physical attributes to do that..... however, it seems like the lakers except for kobe don't have enough ice in their blood..... pau gasol is softer than charmin.........
PPL r a little feisty these days:D

I was surprised Kobe didn't take over late in the game, even after Boston captured the lead I was waiting for it to happen. I guess it's a testament to the defense being played by Paul Pierce and the rest of the Celtics. That's why I have a feeling he'll come out much more aggressive in Game 5 similar to the way he played in Game 3 and put up 30+.

Kobe can't rely on his teammates anymore. He needs to take over offensively, as Andrew pointed out.

You know, even if the Celtics do win the next game and take the championship in five, I'm not sure it will feel like a 4-1 series. With the way the games have all come down to the final couple of minutes, I don't think a 4-1 result would truly reflect how competitive the series has been game-to-game.

All I have to say is the Celtics better end it on sunday. Because if they dont, Hurricane Kobe will be heading to Boston and he'll be looking to destroy that filthy garden.

So basically kobe should stop doing what got him to the number 1 seed and the finals in the first place?

Um, relying on his teammates got them a 24 point lead? Not relying on teammates got them a 42-40 season last year.
