I hope you can get out of this hole... :-(
If you can't, maybe you should trade your first pick after the all-star break, considering other teams will be very interested in a hig pick for the draft.
You can get a good player out of that, or a decent one at least.
After all, you don't need another young guy in your team next year.
Good luck (Y)

Aww, sad to see you losing again. To be honest, I would get a starting center for Ben Gordon. IRL, Gordon is a bad shot taker, not a real teamplayer and I think when you have Miller coming off the bench, who isn't a real franchise player, it would be a better team. Though, it's just my opinion. Good luck with the next game !

Nov. 23, 2008

New Orleans, LA - Press - Kyle Lowry(MEM), Javaris Crittenton(MEM) and Mark Madsen(MEM) for Derek Fisher(LAL)

No more guessing as Grizzlies and Lakers announced their's newly made agreement to send a 34 years old veteran - Derek Fisher for two young, still uprising, point guards - Kyle Lowry and Javaris Crittenton plus a center Mark Madsen. It is no surprise to see these two teams making trades. Both, Grizzlies(2-10) and Lakers(4-10) have a terrible season records and due to current situation both teams came to conclusion that this trade will make them equally better. Grizzlies were craving for a veteran and with Fisher they've finally got one.

Derek Fisher is leaving L.A. once again.

Fisher still has 2 years to play under 37 million dollars worth of a deal that he made with Warriors 4 years ago. " There is absolutely no doubt - Derek will be in starting lineup at tomorrow's game against the Hornets." said coach Marc Iavaroni at the press " He has the ability to immidietly gel in." Iavaroni also added. Fisher will be a great asset to the team aswell on offense as on defense and most important - he's the guy who is accustomed making critical decisions in game closure and Grizzlies really needed that type of a player.

I think you gave up too much for him. Anyways, not the worst trade, but still. Lowry is a good player, but you gave up Crittention, a promising guard and one more center. How much salary do you have ? Are you over or under, and how much ?

It's a little soon to make a trade, even with that record IMO. But hopefully it will work out for you!

I disagree. Lowry and Crittenton can't really shot well also their's defense is no good against experienced point guards such as billups, parker, kidd, paul etc. Adding Madsen was just for matching salaries. We are few millions over the salary cap but you can look it on front page, first post - under roster.

I do like the trade and don't cuz you should have trade the fricken Drako Millic who is a scrub and Crittenton you should have kept but you need a center...Get that in your mind!

Nov. 23, 2008

New Orleans, LA - Press - Paul Millsap(MEM) and Darko Milicic(MEM) for Jerry Stackhouse(DAL) and Eric Dampier(DAL)

Two hours after bringing in Derek Fisher, the Grizzlies announced their second trade wich was made with Dallas Mavericks. With adding Stackhouse and Dampier the Grizzlies are now looking more balanced with their young blood mixed with couple of veterans. The Mavericks also haven't found winning rythm and are struggling with 5-6 record. Eric Dampier still has 3 years to play under $9.7 million dollars per year contract. Jerry Stackhouse's contract will expire after next season, he is receiving $7.5 million dollars per year.

 Did not see that coming. Great job pulling that off!
It'll be nice to see Warrick get some more burn.
Oh and IMO, you should start Conley over Fisher. ;)

I don't like either Stackhouse nor Dampier, but as long it works for you...
and if it doesn't work, Jerry's contract expires next season, so you can get rid of him. (Y)
So, with this new team, I hope you can get some W
Looking forward to the next update (Y)

Good job with these trades. Though, I think you aren't too strong on the C position, still. Anyways, still a great job. :) Good luck, and I hope your team will see a better Wonderland. ;)
