How can I control my PG act like CPU-controlled?

Postby Andrew Lee on Fri May 16, 2008 11:03 am

In next-gen (PS3) 08, I am just wondering how can I control my team's point guard to do few things like:

1. walking slowly up the front count after in-bound pass

2. pointing his finger to direct teammates' traffic

3. raising his hand up pretending to set up plays

4. back down+grab the ball using one hand over his head to protect ball (like Jordon and Kobe in real life)

I always see the CPU PG to do these plays but I never get it done, hope someone here can help me sort it out.

Thanks!

If you're using a dual analog gamepad, you can easily walk simply by moving the left stick very slightly. To make the player hold the ball above their head, hold the right stick down when you have the ball in the triple threat position.

Andrew, I am playing 08 on PS3, is your answer next-gen version specific?

Sorry, I overlooked that. What I said about walking still applies, you just need to move the left stick slightly without holding down turbo. I'm fairly certain the other move you referred to is still performed by holding the right stick down when you're in the triple threat position.

NBA Live 08 on the Xbox 360/PS3 features a lot of automatic animations such as the ballhandler calling out a play, directing traffic etc. They're generally context specific, as far as I know there's no way to manually trigger them whenever you want.

I have to blame EA's game manual is too simple, too simple...
