Supposedly it will be similar to the Donald Trump/Rosie O'Donnell skit last year with a couple of independent wrestlers impersonating them in a short match.

My Backlash predictions without any specific reasons:

World Heavyweight Championship: Undertaker vs. Edge
Takers reign will last longer than that, he will win it.

WWE Championship Fatal Four Way Elimination Match: HHH, Cena, JBL, Orton
Orton will pick up the win somehow again. Waiting till everybody has beatin' the hell out of each other and rko'ing the last man standing.

ECW Championship: Kane vs. Chavo Guerrero
Kane will win it. But maybe Chavo's new body guard helps him to win it, though. Still picking Kane.

United States Championship: MVP vs. Matt Hardy
MVP's holding that belt too damn long. Matt will win it.

12-Diva Tag Team Match
I'm picking Team Beth.

The Great Khali vs. The Big Show
I'm having Show winning it. Maybe through DQ if he can't pin Khali.

Batista vs. Shawn Michaels
Taking Batista for the win. Micheals interfered last night and Sweet Chin Music'd Batista, who had a Title Match against Taker. So I'm seeing revenge for Batista.

I've read that Mick Foley is being considered to replace Coachman on Smackdown, which I reckon would be a huge improvement.

Bring back Tazz. Put coach or Foley on ECW.

Moving Joey Styles away from the announce table wasn't a good move, I don't think any combination is going to work in ECW at least in the short term and Foley's too big a name to be on the C show. Anyway, Foley made his debut announcing for Smackdown at Backlash.

Interesting note about Orton:
Another incident involving Randy Orton took place during WWE's recent tour of Europe. In Coruna, Spain (WWE held a Raw brand house show there on Friday, April 18), hotel staff woke him up earlier then he wanted to be woken up. He was upset to say the least. Orton put his clothes on and went downstairs. Then, the former WWE Champion took his room service food and hucked it at the workers who dared to open his door. Orton then went back to his room laughing.

In a recent interview with the Baltimore Sun, Orton talked about changing his bad boy ways because he will be a father in July as his wife Samantha is expecting their first child. Orton said, "I definitely had a big head, and I'll be the first to admit that I made some bad decisions,. But back when I was making those decisions, in my head I was doing no wrong. I was forced, more or less, to go to anger management. I was either going to make myself and everyone around me miserable, or I was going to realize that there's more than one person on this Earth. It definitely has made me a better person... I think I let a few people down when I was having my problems. I heard, 'Randy, pull your head out of your [butt]' a few times from Vince [McMahon, WWE chairman]. I think I finally have, and I think that's why I'm successful right now. I'm where I'm at because I'm happy."
Perhaps it's one of the reasons he dropped the title at Backlash, assumptions about HHH's backstage power aside. You can't fault him for being upset but adults do not handle disputes like that, it's something that reflects very poorly on the company.
Fits his in-ring character, I think. But a "rehab" might improve his working attitude.

He's already gone through that kind of counseling though and supposedly he's proven himself a changed man. That's not to judge Orton too harshly because emotions can make the best of us act irrationally but as someone who's worked in customer service, I find that kind of behaviour pretty disgusting. You don't handle disputes like that.

Can they just give Vickie "benefits" while out of the WWE? I mean the storyline between her and Edge is just disgusting/annoying. I also notice that everytime she has the mic on SmackDown she will say this sentence as the first line:

"As General Manager of SmackDown...." in an old-lady-ish tone.

And I still don't get why she's in a wheel chair all the time.
As seen several times, she can run away fast and properly from The Undertaker ..

And that title strip is weird. Of course they couldn't ban the chokehold immediately after he used it the first time?? Instead do it after he won a title ...

Finally saw that Barack-Clinton skit. It did manage to be entertaining, but like what WWE had done in the past with their angles, WWE ruined it.
Why let Umaga beat the hell out of them, when they could just let Slick Willy be the last person standing, even have him party with the Godfather and his ho's on the ring.

It's one of those things we're not supposed to think about. We're not supposed to think about the fact that no angle in the WWE has suggested they answer to higher authorities about their championships, nor question why they would sanction Hell in a Cell and other kinds of dangerous concept matches or allow outside interference or a heel GM favouring certain wrestlers but disallow Undertaker's new hold.

It's kind of like John Cena being arrested for vandalising JBL's limo but Randy Orton isn't even questioned when he brags about killing the Undertaker by stuffing him in a casket and setting it alight, the "rule" that states wrestlers mustn't go more than 30 days without defending a championship or the fact that sometimes outside interference or cheating can lead to a match being restarted while other times, the decision stands. Pro wrestling angles have a very flexible reality and those kind of things can be done whenever the story calls for it.

Having said that, it is kind of a weird decision especially if Taker is pencilled in for a long reign but apparently Vince McMahon is keen on having cliffhanger endings on the TV shows so I guess we'll see where it goes. I have to admit, I'm interested to see where they're going with this angle and whether the decision will be somehow overturned or if Taker will win the belt back.

I agree. I feel bad that she lost her husband and I am gald to see that the WWE continues to support her, but I would rather that she have some kind of behind the scenes job.

She was bad when she and Chavo were pairing up against Rey and she is bad now in here angle with Edge. Unlike her late husband she doesn't have the charisma to make it on the mic. I am not sure if the WWE relizes that annoying does not equal a good heel. I keep on hoping that the angle ends and we will get a new GM on SD

I don't think she's keeping the role out of pity, I think the WWE is happy with her work and the current angles. I agree that it's kind of run its course but Smackdown had a face GM for a longtime and with the cliffhanger endings Vince McMahon wants, a heel GM who can come out and screw over the faces is a better fit so I doubt there'll be a change anytime soon.

I'm not too fond of the current World Heavyweight title angle, I was hoping Taker would get a long, uninterrupted reign but hopefully that stills happens at Judgment Day. It's certainly different and arguably it's more interesting to keep him as somewhat of an underdog/oppressed face without technically having him lose the belt but considering how Vince McMahon supposedly wants more realistic angles to suspend disbelief, the whole thing still follows a lot of pro wrestling logic in its flexible reality.

Edge is supposed to be taking some time off soon, so if that's true I'd be very surprised if they gave him the title. I think it's just going to be a different twist on having the heel chase the face for the title for a couple of months rather than making the face champion look invincible.

Just seen SmackDown earlier, I was expecting a Taker - Edge feud up to this long. When Vickie kayfabe stripped 'Taker of the title, I got a feeling that he had himself injured again. :|

Fortunately there's been no reports of an injury. Hopefully Taker remains injury free and gets a long reign beginning at Judgment Day.

For those who haven't watched Raw this Monday:
HBK did fake his injury. Jericho didn't believe it and held one of his endless talks, then got superkicked by Michaels. He walked out of the ring like nothing happened.
Yea, just wanted to use the spoiler tags once.

I liked the segment. Reminds me of the old HBK days. And his super kick was right on Jericho's jaw (by the looks of it he wasn't able to block it) and HBK's ring exit is just badass.

And we might be seeing a DX reunion with both Hunter and Shawn as champions. I think that the Y2J-HBK feud might lead to an Intercontinental Championship match that HBK should win (the guy needs another singles title, it's been a while since that last singles championship).

Interesting idea but I don't see them doing it. They might as well though, it's not like they really use the IC title to elevate upper mid-card wrestlers the way they once did.
