The Dark Knight (DVD/BR Release!)

Postby Jackal on Mon May 05, 2008 8:20 am

Well it's coming closer and closer and I'm pretty sure the first time I watch it, I'm going to ejaculate all over the theatre seats. That's how badly I can't wait.

Here's a new HD trailer!!

Click it.

Awesome trailer. I find myself watching more and more movies after they come out on DVD these days but this looks like one to catch in the cinema, to say the least.

I'm starting to wonder if Imax is the only way to see The Dark Knight.

For reference and for others who may have trouble viewing the link:
Let's put a smile on that face!

Haha, the day I read that certain scenes were to be shot with an IMAX camera, I decided I'm going to drive down to Antwerp to catch it on the monster IMAX screen they have.

Yes, I <3 Chris Nolan and Christian that much.

Anyone got another link for an HD trailer? I only get 200 KB/s downloading from the link Jackal posted so it's gonna take me twenty minutes to download it, and Apple still hasn't got the trailer on either iTunes nor the QT website.

You can't wait twenty minutes? Just watch the stream fifteen times while you wait.

Production picture of Harvey Dent/Two-Face (Note that it's a bit gory):
http://www.wwtdd.com/photo.phtml?post_key=5892&photo_key=13212
Looks awesome tho, but if you're a big fan of the movies (ahem, Jackal), you might want to wait for the movie to see it, you know, for full effect or whatever..

:( I wanna see toooooo.

I went to watch Iron Man and I was excited and all...and my sister said if you're like this in IMAX, I'll leave you at the theatre.

I said I won't be...

I'll be worse.

I think it's a fake.

I know the production team are trying to aim for realism but that is just too much realism that I think it's a fake photo. The exposure of the muscle fiber in the mouth is a bit too real that I doubt Two-Face would be able to talk. If he does talk after that.

Yeah, I think it's a fake too. Would be awesome if it was true, though.

Why would you think it is fake because of that? It's almost exactly designed as how he appears in The Long Halloween and Dark Victory.

I personally think it's fake because the movie was recently rated PG-13, and PG-13 movies don't usually include such amount of gore and extreme realism.

What? That's "gore" and "extreme realism"? Especially to the level where it must be restricted to anyone under 17? He's a beloved comic book character who in the comic books has half his faced burned off by acid. I think that alone would protect from being considered "gore" and "extreme realism" by the MPAA.

And if Two-Face's face is the "goriest" thing in the film and would earn it a R, than every Batman comic of the last decade or two is at least a R, with a third of them bordering on NC-17. They aren't exactly books for children after the 1960s, especially after Crisis.

I saw the spoiler image and he doesn't look that gory. If there was blood, then I'd say that's the difference-maker. Right now, he kinda looks like the Terminator.

As for the trailer, I saw that in the theatre just before Iron Man. Definitely looks awesome. I wouldn't be surprised if Heath Ledger got an Oscar nomination for his role. Simply amazing as Joker, and I really want to see more. Really excited for this movie.

Nice trailer. Is this the sequel to the old Batman movie before cause i didn't watch it. Joker is  might watch the movie because of him. One of my favorite villains of all time.

So word has it that people who nominate people for the Oscar, ought to nominate Ledger for the Oscar.

Wouldn't it be funny if a guy named Oscar made the Oscar nominations?

Uhm...Joker for President.

I hope I don't jizz myself in the theatres.

R.I.P. Heath. :(

No doubt. I can't see him not getting nominated. Just based on the trailers, you could tell that Heath's acting is Oscar-worthy.

Edit: Thought you guys would like this wicked poster that my gf shared with me:
