Game speed

Which game speed do you prefer? I think the default speed is too slow.

I actually play slower than the default. I use sliders that I got from the Operation Sports board, but I don't remember whose. Anyway, I play with speed on 42 in 9 minute quarters on Allstar.

What do you mean with "sliders"?

I play with my gamespeed slower than the default as well. The default is 60 and I play at 55.

You can use sliders to change almost everything about the gameplay. I found the slider settings I use on the Operation Sports forum, but they have also been posted here,http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/~nbalive/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=9562

Now that I have been playing the game for a few days I am going back to the default speed of 60.

Anything above 50 is unrealistic for me. I only use it for when im playing all-star games...i prefer 45 - 50.

If I want scores to be about 95ppg, what game speed would i use for 12 minute quarters?

For those scores..you'd not only have to set the game speed to about 45...you'd also need to bump up defence. You'd need to make on-ball defence tougher...as well as the various other defence sliders. If you dont wanna bump those up too much...you can also decrease long range and mid range accuracy...as well as short range if you so desired. With those things done to your tastes...you're bound to get a realistic 95 points in 12 minute quarters.

BTW..i have mine set so that i get 95 ppg in 7 minute quarters.

Personally, I like NBA average scoring games (80-110 usually) so I play on speed 90, with dunks and all scoring on 80, with 5 min. quarters. I liked last year's speed. It is unrealistic but so what, I don't have that much time to be playin 12 minute quarters, and I get bored when it takes forever to make a shot. I like the arcade pace with realistic movement.
