espn beats live, and heres why

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

i didn't mean to come across just as NBA LIVE SUCKS!!, like some ignorant peeps would. i'm just saying, from playing both of them, ESPN is much more realistic, and i haven't even touched the sliders yet. i'm also playing it for ps2, so don't know about the patching issues sorry. im 6-6 in my franchise so far and iverson and snow are both out, iverson has missed 5 games already with a badly bruised hip, and snow has a sprained wrist, which both happened in game. another cool part about espn is you don't pull off a million freestyle moves in a row, but when you hit them with a great crossover, its really worth it.

and NO, to whoever said you have to play 12 minute quarters, i play 9, and try hard every possession on offense and defense, and come out with super realistic scores and stats. im the 6ers and it's hard for me to score over 100, without iverson, my past 3 games have been in the 80's, and i've won because my defense is so good. and 9 minute quarters do not get boring, cuz i don't have to milk the clock JUST to get realistic scores, the AI actually does this by working in thru the post and around the offense lookin for a good shot. and so far this franchise season i've found out that players can have great games and then get cold all of a sudden: like i scored 25 with glenn robinson against the rockets, then against the pacers he missed his first 5 shots. also other players stepped up for me too with iverson out, john salmons against the pacers scored 15 and had 7 boards, but i can't just score with the same person every game. even iverson has his off games that force me to work the ball inside more. if you have any questions i'd be happy to answer them.

I very strongly suspect that you are a plant or something by Sega. Your brown-nosing and gushing praise for the game are ridiculous and quite annoying. Especially since you seem to like to reiterate your points over and over when it's been said already that what you're doing is trolling.

This isn't an invitation for you to say again that you're just saying ESPN is so awesomely great because blah blah blah. I'm making it clear that Andrew's instructions meant to stop...now. Reply to the other thread...go to the Other Games section...or get locked/deleted. Your choice.

Go to the Operation Sports NBA Live Forum and look it through.
There are lots of ESPN boys who are sticking with NBA Live, this year.
Isn't it strange?

Oh! Really? You've been a Live fan?
You've just joined NLSC.... 26 Oct 2003.
Just joined to post something like this?

There is another forum named 'Other Games' to post opinions like yours.
Most of the ppl around here are PC users.
Some play both, but mostly only care about Live PC.
If you had been a Live fan for years, you should have already known that.
Maybe you just forgot that.
Or maybe you didn't even know that.....because you're just lying. :?

Andrew, I think this post must be moved or deleted.

I moved this topic to where it's supposed to be. In the future everyone...if you want to discuss ESPN...do so in the proper area.

This site then is a plant, mouthpiece or something of EA sports. If not (I hope so), let that fella speak - I've read little to nothing on this thread that could defeat his points. His reiteration came about only to bring the discussion back to THE points, since everyone seemed to be inclined to wander off.

Comparison is a great way of learning strengths and weaknesses, so we shouldn't strip ourselves of such possibility. I am a pro-PC anti-console gamer, waiting for PC version to arrive. Skepticism is in the forum's air and that cannot be reassuring. But it's better than a suger-coated crap.

On a side note: do you really think NLSC community enjoys a certain amount of influence over what EA sports does with the Live series? I think not. I'd rather believe its vice-versa a great deal. One of the NLSC affiliates joining them and then releasing a thing called Live 2K3 just proves the point.

Did I do with paragraphs well? grammar? etc.? whatever.

I am letting him speak. When you speak about other games...you are supposed to do it in the 'Other Games' section.

Paragraphs make it easier for people to read your posts.

We hold these truths to be self-evident.

I bought Live 2004. I liked it. It was a game I didn't mind playing. I played ESPN 2004, I traded in my Live. Everything except the commentary in ESPN is better than Live, in my opinion...24/7 is addicting as hell. I can't stop playing it...The unlockables are great, such as the All-Star 76ers, All-Star Lakers. They also have a Hall Of Fame difficulty level to unlock which is awesome...I'm also a member of ESPNGamingWorld.com, but I've always been a fan of this site, since I started with Live from the beginning...The player models are better than Live's. Everyone's face is made perfectly, from Kobe's pimple on his cheek to ANYTHING!. You can read the words on Shaq's tatoo if you want...Anyways, IGN and Gamespot call ESPN the best basketball game ever made...
