foru member rating idea

I have this one request for this forum. It's the member rating system. Similar to the thing in operationsports forum.
Except there should be negative rating allso. Becouse when a person is really dumb fuck - people can simply rate him so. So next time when u read something of him u will know some background of the author.
And when new user joins - he will be at zero level.

So the rating should have ----- 0 +++++ options.

Allso to rate a dude here - it must be simple process. Otherwise people won't use it much.

I really don't see the point. The quality of a person's posts is easily identified, and there are means of dealing with spammers and troublemakers.

That would be a great thing, at a glance you could see immediately which threads are worth reading

Yeah, that is a better idea. It's not a popularity contest. People don't come to a forum to be rated, especially not being rated as a "dumb fuck".

As much as an utopian commune is fun and games voting to rate someone we don't like down would perhaps provide an outlet for displeasure with people instead of a flame war. Maybe not "dumb fuck" but "Bench Warmer" or something similar.
