woooh another win vs a good team
stopped the streak no less haha sucks for u jazz
but wen i went to espn it predicted like 70% in jazz favor for the game
i think everyone underestimates how good lakers are even without gasol
that group was the team before he came... well without bynum
but they can still compete without him... now we gots ira newble too!

I myself thought the the Lakers would never make it. Mostly because when Odom is placed as option number 2, he tends to move into suck mode. It turns out, Odom gave a double double performance. I somehow wish though that the Lakers could have picked up a player to add toughness in the 2-3 spot that they should have done earlier. As the very least Newble would give Kobe some relief. But, I don't think Newble would be able to join the Lakers in the off season.

Why are the Lakers playing so shitty now? I know they are shorthanded; but they were winning before. Charlotte? Memphis?

lol great game tonight. they shot WAY too many 3s, and it bailed out the Grizzlies's zone defense. Plus, Kobe's ballhogging affected the other players. no one was in rhythm except Kobe. Oh and Chris Mihm made an appearance. He should not see any PT unless Turiaf, Gasol, Bynum, AND Mbenga are hurt.
the Charlotte & Memphis games were quite entertaining. I should've bet against the Lakers on those games. the odds would've been ridiculous.

BALLHOGGING? he freakin passed the ball all the time, only thing was that he got it right back and made the shot after that. Thats why odom had 11 assists. Kobe was the only true scorer tonight...yeah he made some stupid shots also. He did not got any support tonight, thats the truth.

It's called 22pts 12rebs 3asts 4blks from Darko with just one foul. 8/15 from the floor, 6/7 from the line.

Darko did make a difference tonight. Even the Laker commentators were saying that they'd rather have Darko in than Jason Collins. He attacked the offensive glass frequently and got a couple nice tip-ins.

and also Odom didn't get 11 assists all because of Kobe. He is talented enough to find teammates on his own. I'd say about half of Odom's 11 assists were to Kobe but I specifically remember quite a few assists to Radman & Sasha for perimeter jumpers. He found Turiaf a few times under the basket for a layup or dunk as well.
So please don't tell me all 32 assists by the Lakers were because of Kobe because he doesn't always shoot right when he gets a pass and you don't get assists for inbounding the ball to Kobe after a made basket.

I really am not surprised with these losing streak. The Lakers front court looks like shit right now. And all they have on offense from the bench are a bunch of jump shooters. Hopefully, Gasol will be playing by Wednesday. Bynum should be back maybe for their last few season games and try to catch steam from there on.
I'm more worried that Kobe might burn himself out before the playoffs.

Yes, Odom and Pau are the best, especially their defense.

To date this is how the Lakers stack up to teams with better overall records:

Celtics 0-2 (Albeit, before the Gasol acquisition)
Pistons 1-1
Hornets 1-2
Spurs 1-2

I think Kobe would have to ty to win all the remaining Laker games to make a strong case at winning MVP honors. Otherwise though, I think CP3 would take home the hardware. As I see it, CP3 is like Obama and Kobe is like Hillary. If Kobe wins it, it would be on sympathy votes. With him being a 10yr vet, and having an injured pinkie. Haha.

Hope Ariza and Bynum comes back soon. I would still want the Lakers to win it all.

and i disagree about cp3 being obama and kobe being hilary...
no way is kobe that ugly and unpleasant...

Haha, what I meant was, Kobe isn't getting the love from the people. And it has nothing to do with Hillary being "fugly". And in a statistical point of view, it is more difficult to tally 21pts along with 11+asts and 2+ stls against Kobe's 28-6-5. In the end we will have to wait for the voting by the coaches, press and fans.

I'm more interested in the SA game later, as this I think will show how well the Lakers can do in the playoffs.

Nice, and it looks like Denver is handling the Rockets right now. So it is down to the Lakers and Hornets fighting for top spot in the west. With the Lakers having the easier schedule of a home game against the Kings. And the Hornets with back to back games remaining against the Clippers, then the Mavs.

Well, of course that is assuming that either Garnett or Ray Allen does not get injured in the playoffs. Is Doc & the bench ready for the playoffs is yet another unanswered question. And the only guy on the Boston team who has won it all is Cassell (who is like 100 yrs old in basketball years).

Yeah, or Pierce, or Kobe Bryant, or Pau Gasol, or the arena doesn't collapse in the middle of a game or...

So?
