NBA Live 09 will not be released for the PC

well that EA sucked I known for a long time..now thay suck more..
but now patches(mby soon me too) can not worry for nba other versions so give all the work for nba live 08 to make it the best moded game!

I was shocked when I read that 09 won't be on PC. There were a lot of things wrong with 08, and I hoped they would fix it on 09. I really sad.

I'd have nothing against one year breake if they come back with a great game, but that's probably not the case.

Now I'm really happy I bought a 360 with 2k8.

The benefits of sports games on the computer is numerous, Constant roster updates, jersey updates, accessories, cyberfaces, dornas, courts, stadiums and more... I just don't understand when they say that sports games are more suitable for consoles when there is less updates that can be downloaded.

Now that the consoles can connect to the internet as easily as a computer, updates aren't a problem. The problem is that EA wants them to be THEIR updates (with a "small" charge of course).

It's about making money, but let's see what happens...

Well i know that u can connect thru PS3 and XBOX360 and download "their" patches which are mainly only roster patches, but their updates are not as frequent as the patches being released on websites like nba-live.com and they EA Sports don't have updates for courts, jerseys and display which adds more realism to the game. I just don't understand why they think sports games are just more suitable for consoles, i don't see a difference at all as long as you have a controller for your PC...

EA is trying to buy out Take Two for GTA:IV but they are also the owners of the 2k Sports Brand.

Ok guy´s i don´t like the decison as well but i hope that maybe they really try to make the game better by sitting out one year! thats what i hope because if we are honest we all screwed EA for the last years and to be honest i demanded a change for a very long time!

of course i am dissapoindet to see EA not having a pc version of LIVE but i will keep up the hope that this will result in a new better nex gen LIVE 2010! I thougt about buying an console for a very long time but what i would like to know:

Can i use the patches (gameplay, Roster, sim Engine, ILT and so on) on the console version? or is there no need for that with the console version?

would be happy about some answers because here are all the guy´s who know soooo much about live!!!

in my opinion sports games should be released ever other year anyway. say ever even numbered year you release a nba game and ever odd number year you release a patch for the previous game. a 2 year build cycle could(should) greatly increase the overall gameplay experience. also you can have games counter each other, like a new live in even years and new madden in odd years. if something like that was happened then i would be fine with a descision like this, however since this is not the case i think its dumb. the profit margain might not have been that great for the pc but they pretty much had a monopoly on it since no one else is making pc bball games(well any that can rival).

MY brother liked the sig idea and since e has damn much freetime (11 years) He did many slogans for sigs. I never thought that hes so creative^^ He is Live addicted now (but I still have no idea why he scrathed my disc though). well there is hope next year. i used to be an EA tech so i have my contacts.

best thing that can happen could be like in 02 when there was gap year and then we got better game the PS2/ xbox port. Lets hope that there will be a NBA LIVE X in Fall of 2009 for the PC That would be a port of the 360/ PS3.

And if it is not brought back to life on the PC. Then we would need to take step live other patchers Did when MVP Baseball 2005 and just re haul it every year.

Many of you are hoping that 2k would put there game on pc , well if they arent planning on it know then. We wont ever get 2k on pc. It is only a matter of time before EA buys take 2 / 2k games.
