Is the between the legs dunk in the game?
Sat Oct 25, 2003 12:20 pm
i hope so too cause that dunk is pretty sweet cant wait to get the game on nov 27th to find out if it is cause half of the time a dunk like that can be in the game just it's hard to figure out what combo or what u have to do to do it

Personally I'd prefer if it wasn't. Maybe only available in practice mode. Now really, how many times have you seen this happen in in an NBA game? Live has had this before, so has the Sega series, personally I think it's takes away from the realism, stick to NBA Street if you want stuff like that. If it was included, even if it didn't happen often, it wouldn't work. I haven't played Live 2004, but in the past, the games have not done a good job of selecting different dunks for different situations (fast breaks/ post ups/ in traffic etc.) and I would hate to see VC rise up over some traffic, going through his legs, round the back or anything else like that.
Save it for a dunk comp mode in years to come.

But is it true that windmills are also not in the game? I think they should be considering that many players now do it.

DudeI already fiured out how to do the dunks where your player TOUCHES The Backboard with Two Hands and ONe hadn and THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN THE LEGS DUNK
I am sick of people saying this shit its downright STUPID go play NBA Street 2 if you want to do a fucking IBTL Dunk

How you do the touch the backboard dunks? And BTW, people have different opinions so calm down. I think it should have sliders for dunk selection.
Sat Oct 25, 2003 1:50 pm
yah man u should calm down cause that dunks isnt only for a dunk contest or other things ive seen lebron james do it in a real high school game so far. and people have opinions one what dunks they like etc and ea kinda lied agian saying there will be signature moves for certian players and people who have been playing it said so far they havent seen it it's pretty bad that ea lies about having signature moves and they dont end up in the game. like i dont mean they meant signature dunks but signature dribble moves etc.

Actually, on nikebasketball.com, nike have something going on with EAsports. They are saying that you can download signature moves for Nike players. Go check it out.
Sat Oct 25, 2003 2:10 pm
Ok, they just updated. To tell you the truth, its crap. You don't dl anything. They just give you a couple of move combinations to tell you to do it. For example. for VC, they basically tell you how to do the olleyoop off of the backboard/rim trick. For Lebron, spin past defender, and dunk. So gay....

that's pretty sweet

Creep up to the front of the room with Steve Francis then press turbo and use the dunk button the following will either be a Two Hand Touch the Back Board Dunk , a One Hand Touch The Backboard Doung (LeBron's Dunk!) , and one where you kick your feet towards the crowd so high you'll jump off the rim almost near the free throw one and the other one is where you you do a Two Handed Dunk but you turn around backwards facing the court holding onto the rim with one hand its SICK!
Also you can RUN or you can just walk but remember you need to be near the Circle thing in under the rim just don't start from the Freethrow LIne or else you will get some ORDINARY Dunks like Shaqs Off to the Side Flying one hander or Latrell Spreewells Golden State Warrios Dunk
Have fun my fellow Old Schoola's!

Since we're on the topic of dunks, has anyone seen the regular reverse? Not the one handed baseline or the double pump or alleyoop. Just the regular one.
And as a nice touch you dont see anymore driving the lane and 360 dunks. Like we wished for, most 360s a occur in the open court by yourself.
Sun Oct 26, 2003 2:40 am
For those who have the game are there really 200+ Dunks?
Sun Oct 26, 2003 4:07 am
i doubt there's 200 dunks ea already lied about signature moves being in there for certian players like signature dribbles or moves they do.
i'm still anxious to get the game but i wish they wouldnt lie about features.

EA sports are definately big time liers...its a good game (I own both Live and Espn)...but they definately lie about signature moves and dunks...why must they lie to us consumers....just tell the truth...and there is not 200 different dunks....not even if you counted the same dunks from different sides and angles resulting in the same dunk but in a different way...you still wouldn't have 200 dunks...its a shame what they tell you to make you buy the game...

they never said that there would be signature dunks.
neether did they lie about signature moves; as stated above, there's a list on nikebasketball.com that tells you how to do moves that certain playes often do... (yes it's lame, but they didn't lie...)
arden_05 wrote:there is not 200 different dunks....not even if you counted the same dunks from different sides and angles resulting in the same dunk but in a different way...you still wouldn't have 200 dunks...
hehe. i might be a little fo here. but this is how i see it anyway...
picture this;
there's at least 45 originall one-handed dunks (some for big men, some for forwards and some for guards), now count them with the other hand, and about 10 two-handed that makes it 100. now take those as ally-oops. that makes it 200...

Can someone please tell me if there are windmills? Also, are there THAT many alleyoop animations? In Live 2003, there are only like 7 variations. Also, can you do alleyoop over a guy with a really good dunker such as Vince? Or do you still miss if there is a guy under the basket.
Sun Oct 26, 2003 12:05 pm
Can someone post a link of the nikebasketball signature moves pleaz? i dont know how to get to it!
Sun Oct 26, 2003 12:05 pm
YEa same here
Sun Oct 26, 2003 12:16 pm
Um, its kind of complicated because once you click enter, that big screen of theirs pop up. Anyways, click on the transmition/destination button and there will be a section called the EA Family popping up at the bottom. Just click that and you are in. Hope this helps.
Sun Oct 26, 2003 1:33 pm
it's simple, you go to NIKe.com then clik on NIkebasketball, then clik to launch, then go to "family", and you have at the time only 4 player : carter, kidd, james & pierce with video and how to make their signature move
easports breakdown show players with signature, you have to clik on their face to watch their shoes, bio, and ea signature move
