how can i change the color of the original jerseys color? how can i take the orginal EA jerseys and change it color and add to the game?

Yes you can. Extract the Jersey (sgsm\uniforms folder)
you like with biggui (download at nba-live.com). Then open the extracted Jersey fsh with fshx. Extract it and open it with a photosoph or something else. Edit it to you likings and save it in dds or png (youll need a dds olugin for ps)
Import it into the fsh and paste into the sgsm directly.
I know its a bit imprecise, just ask questions Ill answer later.

i edit with photoshop but how do i change the color of each layer? it was locked. how can i change the color of the jersey? do i paint over? sorry im really bad at photoshop. plz help
