Salary Cap Editing Help

Hi,

I hope I'm posting this in the right place.

I've have tried on many occasions to edit the salary cap of the attached Dynasty season for the Houston Rockets as my created player is asking for high wages. I cannot seem to be able to change the salary cap so I am asking anybody to try and edit the salary cap in the Dynasty.

Have you tried the steps in this tutorial?

I have Andrew but I cannot seem to find the 4 digit number. Here's what I done:

1. 55.63-0.005 = 55.625
2. 55625 and press Hex = D949 - reversed into 49D9

But I cannot find 49D9. Can you or somebody else check this out and see if I made any mistakes?

I've tried it too, and I've figurered out how to do it after a bit of playing around. Don't take away 0.005 from the salary cap, as in NBA live 08, the starting cap is 55.63, and not 55.625. Giving you the Hex 49 4E reversed to 4E D9, search that, and you'll find it

That figure only works in the first season of the game I think.

The salary cap increases season to season so you'd need to use the new figure after the first year.

Thanks for your help JasRulz63 and Andrew it works now. Maybe you should add this new method for NBA Live 08 on a tutorial so people don't get confused.

Sorry to bother people again but theres another problem. Whenever I try to begin a match in the Dynasty mode, the game crashes. Is this because of the edited franchise.dat and is there any way to fix this?

It's quite possible. Do you get an error message when the game crashes? If so, what is it? There are a couple of other causes for Dynasty crashes, which are sometimes possible to fix.

How do you get 4ED9 from 494E ... htere is no D in the previous.

also 5563 comes to 15BB

55630 is D94E in hex, Which would be 4ED9 when swapped. I'm guessing JasRulz made a typo when he wrote 494E.

When I click 'Play' to begin the match, the loading screen appears then a Windows Notification says 'NBA Live 08 has stopped working and needs to close'

Try deleting the workingdb and currentdb folders under the database folder in My Documents\NBA Live 08.
