Yes I have, but it's taking longer getting used to the stick for NBA 2K. Driving in GTA is much easier than moving around the court and calling plays. I still use the D-pad in Madden.

i hate the stick, the d pad works just as good and feels so much better. i hated when the nba live games forced me to use the stick but in hind sight i am happy about it. since almost every game is going that way now the practice that i was forced to get with nba live has helped me adjust to all the newer games
Fri Feb 15, 2008 11:17 am
I got used to using the left stick in NBA Live fairly quickly but driving in GTA is another matter altogether. I sometimes use the stick when I'm flying in Vice City though.
Fri Feb 15, 2008 11:28 am
i will admit i am getting comfortable with the left stick, its the right stick that drives me nuts right now, mainly if i am forced to use both at once, like in first person games
Fri Feb 15, 2008 1:12 pm
I have no trouble with the analogs, but those sticks easily break on me because of my fingers that have hard and heavy presses/movements.
Fri Feb 15, 2008 11:19 pm
shadowgrin the juggernaut, busting controllers everywhere
Fri Feb 15, 2008 11:35 pm
How would you feel if you just bought a new console and the analog stick break in less than a month?
I could buy a new one, but you have this feeling that what you just bought is crap because a part of it broke too soon.
It brings the fun out of having a new plaything.

yeah, i just got my ps3 last friday so today marks 1 week. if with in the next 3 weeks the controller breaks i will probably snap

I found it nearly impossible to win the street races using the D-pad, especially "Wu Zi Mu" and "Farewell My Love". Those were killer until I made the switch.

Here's another random question: Does anyone else find it very difficult to resist the allure of motorcycles in the GTA games that feature them? GTA3 is still one of my favourite editions even without bikes and I like to keep a collection of fast cars in my garages but I often find myself exploring the cities on a bike.
Sat Feb 16, 2008 10:24 am
motorbikes are always the go, i loved using them in vice city, its much easier to hit the insane jumps
Sat Feb 16, 2008 10:50 am
I love bikes. Use them every oppurtunity I can get, since they make dodging traffic much easier when you want to get somewhere.
I have the GTA:LC mod on my old computer, where you get the GTA3 map and some of the missions in the VC engine. Awesome stuff.
Apparently, there's a ton of amazing TC mods coming out for GTA VC and SA, but I really don't play the game too much anymore

Absolutely. Painful when you clip an obstacle and get sent flying but very handy once you master weaving in and out of traffic.
Sat Feb 16, 2008 2:33 pm
Once you get your bike level to like 100% you pretty much don't fall off unless you hit something dead on. Its been quite a while since I've played SA, school's really kept me occupied. Trying to get 100% in the game now, at about 95% or so last time I checked.

Yep, once I hit the Badlands missions, I work on building up my bike level. It's more fun riding a bike through the countryside than driving a car. You need a good amount of bike skill when you do the "T-Bone Mendez" mission in San Fierro. By the time I'm in Las Venturas, it's nearly 100% when I start Bike School. It's risky using bikes in the first chapter(Los Santos). You take more damage from gang bullets.

I usually get bikes and put them in CJ's garage in his house. But, meh, once you put
two bikes in that garage, you can't put any vehicle in it.
I hate those quadbikes in SA. I remember what I did in the quadbike chase in Catalina's missions, I brought along a Wayfarer bike before stepping into the mission. I parked it beside the red marker, the cutscene came next, then stepped out of the quadbike and on to the Wayfarer.

Yeah, those quadbikes are kinda tricky when it comes to handling. I remember those Catalina's missions, it took me many times to get use on quadbike handling.

Catalina's nagging makes that mission all the more unbearable. From time to time when those guys get too far away, i just jump off the quad, whip out the shotgun and blow her freaking head off.
Sun Feb 17, 2008 4:40 pm
Or bail the quad into water
It doesn't kill her unless it's off a massive cliff edge but it's fun.

I do that too, or I intentionally fall off a cliff. The bank mission took me a lot of patience too.

I've been reading about a few supposed easter eggs in San Andreas, such as CJ's mother's ghost appearing in the Johnson house, bigfoot and UFO sightings and ghost cars in the woods. There's a lot of videos on YouTube either supporting or attempting to debunk their existence, some of them look a bit fake however, such as this one:

These two are pretty cool videos, fake or not:

Maybe those "ghost car" was caused by a glitch or something and also that's what I heard from someone.
Sun Mar 09, 2008 3:34 pm
ghost car is real I believe, I remember dealing with that car and the plane around that area
the ghost is fake though
Sun Mar 09, 2008 4:08 pm
The first ghost car that Andrew showed is the result of a car spawning in a precarious position and rolling down the hill.
Dont know what the freak is going on in the second one though.
