Odd things you've noticed in the NBA..

I'll start...

 People like paul peirce and doc rivers sounding like WWE wrestlers

 Popovich looks like a white/older version of Tim Duncan...just look at their faces and you'll see it.

 Many nba players balding at a young age

 Tattoos being a fad that isn't going away like cornrows and headbands

Opinions are my own.

I find the audio dropouts during broadcasts odd. It has been happening for years and doesn't look like it's going to be fixed.

YES, the balding! My goodness it's everywhere. Maybe though its not really that abnormal. A lot of people suffer balding in their 30's, and maybe because these athletes cannot keep their hair combed over or groomed, and the fact that its always short, just makes it worse.

Nonetheless, yes it seems most of them bald early. It's like guys in their mid twenties are balding now. Look at Nick Collison, that hair is getting thin! and Manu Ginobili, everyone has noticed that, even when he has long hair.

It's just genetics. They get it I believe, from their grandfather (mother's side).

The shot clock too frequently starts late. You would think that in a professional league like the NBA they could keep the time correctly.

well it might be a possible editing for bad words said by the players.
I remember Kobe was short on a FT a couple games back and yelled "Oh shit!" really loud but the shit was edited out.

Players that on a team that is below .500 and a star player on that team not making the all-star despite his great contribution and players that deserved to be all-star not making it resulting to a snub(like Hedo and Baron)

There does seem to be a lot of malfunctions in what is sure to be pretty expensive equipment. There was an absurd amount of stoppages in the Blazers/Knicks game a week ago due to shot clock problems.

For a sport that only needs a ball, a rim, shorts and some shoes. The star guards seem to be wearing a lot of unnecessary shit like black tights/leotards and gloves.

I wouldn't say it's unnecessary considering players are prone to suffering from ailments such as tendinitis and sweat bands obviously serve a purpose as well. Headbands are probably a fashion statement in most cases but I'd say most of the bands, tights and whatnot have a legitimate purpose for most of the players who wear them.

You have a point there. But for the most part, they just seem to copy each other and wear it as a fad.

There's probably some of that going on as well. The headband craze seems like a good example.

Apparently the blazer arena is just a bit fucked up - the announcers were talking about it in that game.

Why would you want to get rid of a great blocker in George?
Even Diop can't block the way George does.
