Forced to run away from grabbing an offensive rebound?

point guard throws from downtown and immediately switched to your center to attempt to grab an offensive rebound. for some reason he went the other way, away from the ball. i instantly switched to my forward, same thing did happen.

this also happens during a missed free throw shot. controlled player was stucked and if you try to switch to another player it will run away from the ball like he was running away to save his life from a collapsing building.

is there a patch that'll solve this glitch?

I've never had that happen to me aside from when my old controller was on its last legs (so to speak). It sounds more like a controller issue to me.
