Your English is fine, stop apologizing. A good thing for you to do and be better accepted by the community would be not double-posting, though.

Uh-oh. That hump emoticon did mean something. :lol:

Welcome to the forums, michael8610. Though at first, I really thought that you're a bot promoting a Nokia cellphone. Then I realized that there's no Nokia 8610 yet and Andreas had a good bot filter thing installed on the forums.

I advise that you look at these tips I have for you:

1. Follow the Forum Rules.
2. Beware of lolcats.

Oh man, this thread gave me a good chuckle. It will have a home in the hall of fame.

[qujote="Sauru"]2. hate the yankees[/quote]

I thought you would be the one of the first ones to know that Yankees also means "American" in general.

I sure need to work hard to improve my english ,both oral english and written english in order to communicate with you guys without problems.

Oral english is not needed to communicate over an internet forum without problems, unless where Gundy is concerned.

Oh, it is? My bad. I thought it was for all Americans.

Wait...WTF?

Wikipedia wrote:The term Yankee (sometimes abbreviated to Yank) has a number of possible meanings, but in almost all contexts, it refers to someone of United States origin or heritage.

Wikipedia wrote:Outside the United States, Yank or Yankee is one of the lesser derogatory slang terms for any American, whether from New England or not.

You guys are deviating from the point of this thread...which is to celebrate a chinese guy joining the forum like the nba celebrates a chinese guy joining the league. It certainly deserves to be filled with posts and bumped constantly for that reason alone just like the yao vs. yi jian games deserve their ratings.

Fri Feb 08, 2008 6:01 pm

^Yes, and the reason the confetti was not brought out when I joined the forum was...what?

Come on, what was the point of that? Yes, we know that stuff about Yao and Yi is overrated and more hyped up than it really should be, what does this have to do with anything in this thread? . A Chinese guy comes and joins the forum with a greeting thread, conversation started, and people posted. And the fact that it was one of the few active threads in this General Talk. Not because he was Chinese.
