Hello all. I'm new to these boards, but not new to Live. Been playing online a lot recently and have found that there's one particular tactic that some of my opponents use that is especially frustrating/annoying/cheap.
Off of a made basket, my opponent's big man (either a PF or C) will inbounds the ball to the PG. The PG will walk the ball up with the big man trailing not too far behind. As soon as the PG crosses midcourt, the big man will streak past the PG and make a bee line directly to the hoop. As he nears the hoop, the PG then hits him off with a pass in stride and the big man gets an easy dunk or layup.
Look, I realize this is a video game. There are certain tactics that are used more often than others in order to win. I get that. But recently, I've played against way too many opponents that uses this tactic on EVERY SINGLE possesion. Occassionally, I will draw contact, which forces a bad shot. But most of the time, the end result is a dunk. No skill involved whatsoever. One guy even used the Cavs and put Lebron at PF. Since his dunk rating is like 99, it is impossible to stop. Daniel Gibson ended up with about 25 assists that game...only because he was the PG dishing to Lebron every time down the court. I mean, what fun is that? I imagine the people who employs this kind of strategy EVERY SINGLE TIME must get bored quickly.
Anyway, I checked some of the records of these guys and saw that many of them, while they are ranked high, do have a decent number of losses as well. So, it dawned upon me that someone must've figured out how to stop this tactic. Thus, I am on this board asking for help.
Anyone here know how to stop/defend this? Thanks in advance for your help.
