"The New York Knicks will be NBA champions this season once im through with them." Many believed new GM Ed Money was insane for making such a bold statement, 4 games into the regular season and everyone is getting on the bandwagon. It isn't their undefeated record that's making everyone believers its their run and gun style which in the last 4 games has flowed smoothly and more importantly these Knicks play defense. Leading by 27 in last nights game against denver the Knicks allowed the Nuggets to get within 6 at the end of the 3rd but then used a 28-6 4th quarter to win the game. "We were not worried at any point in the ballgame" said coach Isiah Thomas. "Our starters sat the 2nd and 3rd quarters. We knew once they came in we would reestablish the lead we had earlier in the game." Asked whether they too are trying to become a run and gun team like PHX Isiah replied "Well unlike the Suns we are not undersized down on the block however we do plan to play at a faster pace and shoot the 3 more often. Money has provided us with offensive firepower in Redd, Martin and Miller and we are still planning on making a major roster move with our inactive players." League sources say the Knicks are pursuing Orlandos Rashard Lewis they have made numerous offers involving crawford or richardson and theo ratliff but have been rejected. Other players they are actively pursuing are okur, peja and baron davis. However every player is untouchable besides ratliff crawford and richardson but they are willing to part with williams to get davis.
