if someone know how to use this software then i think we can be able to make some textures and some shader lights in nbalive 2008 and also the ebos too :)

well in the original ebo editor and ebodit you can shade parts in the ebo...

i dont really know what using these other programs will really do for us.

Why not trying Microsoft's Directx SDK? I'm not sure but it must be free to download&use!
I think, if someone makes some good shaders for the game, it would be great.

They all have been made with the last gen technology power of Directx 9c.

2 ways of doing this. The requirement would be a programmer who knows how to debug and hook into a program and make/modify a shader.

1. - Find and hack NBA Live's shaders.
2. - Debug NBA Live and create a program that hooks into Live and overrides it's shader with a custom one.

that is what i am trying to do now making a new shader but it seems it is really hard to do btw ignatus is a good graphic artist i think he may help us with this ill try to talk to him about this matter :D
