Wasn't there a rumor several years ago about a DBZ movie having Bob Saget or something?

Anyways, this should be either really good or absurdly horrible. Chow Yun-Fat as Master Roshi

I'm guessing it will be like Kung Fu Hustle in approach of the story.

I'd watch it too. Its the only cartoon that I can stand that is made in Dragonball, yugioh style.

I might be mistaken... But isn't that suppose to be Meotwo, or do you have some other character/cartoon in mind?

Goddamn it, there's lots of great anime's out there, why do they have to make a movie about DragonBall? I mean, why not Slam Dunk or Ranma or GTO (I know they already made a live-action series)??

Because its arguably one of the best ever? and one of the shows that got Americans hooked on Anime. Slam Dunk hasn't even made it across the ocean yet (legally), VIZ had just recently began releasing English versions of Slam Dunk.

Give it time, someone in the future will probably make it. You could always watch some of the Cantonese basketball movies, which are loosely based on/influenced by Slam Dunk.

Wow, no Slam Dunk in the US? That sucks...

Here in Europe (and from what I can remember, in Latin America too) it's one of the most acclaimed anime's, along with GTO, Ranma 1/2, Slayers and Evangelion; Up until a year ago there were constant re-runs of the series on MTV, which aired in primetime, unlike DragonBall, which airs at 2 and has much lower ratings (it's followed mainly by kids aged 10-14).

Dragon Ball Z is the most popular anime in entertainment in the world. The real question is....what took them so long. As far as goku's hair goes...this is supposed to be a serious movie...not ace ventura 3. Am I the only one who found wolverine in the xmen triloogy's hair to be ridiculous?

And probably one of the longest anime series in history. As what I've read in IMDb, the story will cover the King Piccolo saga, so the title would likely be Dragon Ball only.

Yeah Tien always rocked, but he more or less vanished in the series and was forgotten.

Tien made a big splash with his tri-beam attack holding back cell. Which imo proved he was the strongest earthling

that was one of all-time favourite episodes....he knew he had no chance, but he went nuts with a more focused & powerful tri-beam attack....he was never going to win, but he won Android 18 some time....in the end, it didn't make a difference, but it was a great act of heroics from him....

That attack of his is badass.

Yea, that's what I thought when I saw the supposed characters in the movie.
What idiot titled this thread as "Dragonball Z" anyway. :P
