I've done this dynasty stuff for a long time I know what I'm doing I just need to
work on my consistency and longevity. I've wanted to do a Trailblazers dynasty
for a while now. Aldridge and Roy is a up and coming great duo. This will be
interesting to see how this all pans out for me. But I'm looking forward to a long
and interesting dynasty with a very young and talented team. I will be using
rosters updated to December 29th, 2007. So that means Korver is on the Jazz.
Oden and others will not be injured. I will be making up story lines as I go for the
league...well you guys will see what I all do. Thanks for reading. Thanks to Cerv
for the banner PSD.

(AP) Portland
Portland fans get their superstar now.

After a surprise shakeup in the Washington Wizards management they decided to let go off their superstar player Gilbert Arenas. They want to center their team more so around Antawn and Caron. And instead of having a superstar scoring PG they put Arenas on the block for hopes of a game managing point guard and a promising center.

The Wizards management reported to us that they did pull a trade around noon today sending Gilbert Arenas and Brendan Haywood to Portland in exchange for the rookie Center, who has been called the next Bill Russell, Greg Oden alongside Blazers starting PG Jarrett Jack and Raef LaFrentz.

We thought Greg Oden was the Blazers' future.

But now we know that Gilbert Arenas is the Blazers present and future.

We predicted Oden/Aldridge/Roy to be a Top 10 trio in the NBA by next season. No need to predict no more. Arenas/Roy/Aldridge is a Top 10 trio in the league now.

Surprisingly, the Wizards fan base overall doesn't have much bad things to say about this trade despite losing their top scorer. One fan was interviewed earlier today he stated, "I believe that the old trio was Top 10 in the league, but I also believe this new trio will be Top 5."

This trade is looking to be the blockbuster of the year and we will cover how this trade effects not only Portland but also Washington.

On a side note Portland signed FA Rudy Fernandez and cut Darius Miles.

If you were a member of his joke of an old forum, you would know he has a habit of not sticking to a team. I'm surprised he didn't trade for Kevin Martin though.

Lamrock93,
I question if you read anything at least I'm being humble and admitting my longetivity in the past sucked. I'm really interested in this though especially with Gilbert so be supportive or just get the hell out.

cerv,
Thanks man glad to know someone can be positive. Thanks for the PSD man. Helped a lot.

@ALL
How should I do recaps game by game or weekly? Which do you prefer? 8-)

I prefer weekly recaps, they are easy to read. Maybe you can make a long recap for only 1 game per week. i wanted to do that in my dinasty but my english is not good enough.
I like the Arenas trade, but i would bring a new C to the team

Yep, me too, I don't like Haywood :) Personally I prefer weekly recaps, that's the way I will do it in my Hornets dynasty.

Rudy Fernandez: Who Is He?

Rudy is a young Spaniard who is often called the next Manu Ginobili. Anything Spurs related tends to woo NBA front offices nowadays come draft time. The San Antonio Spurs who have won 4 Championships in the past 8 years have been a consistent force to be reckoned with.

Whats so great about this new addition?
He possesses legit three-point range on his jumper, and excels at catch and shoot much like Richard Hamilton of the Detroit Pistons. Has a quick cross over and good ball handling skills for a guy his age. He is a creative slasher when driving to the basket as he can finish with a multitude of reverse lay-ups, dunks or switching hands to get his shot off. He has great body control above average athleticism and doesn't take too much time shooting as he has a very quick release on his shot. He is a versatile player who can play either guard positions. He has solid passing ability but hes no Steve Nash by any means, but he does love to get his team mates involved. Hes a intelligent young basketball player that makes few mistakes as he does show a very high basketball IQ. And the best thing of all he is said to be very coach able and to have a great work ethic.

What does he need to improve on?
He could really benefit defensively by putting on about 20 pounds. He only weighs around 175 pounds. He needs to be more aggressive defensively as he tends to get lost in picks. His ball protection needs worked on a bit as well nothing major there. He does not have a developed shot selection. Mostly due to the fact he resorts to shooting 3's and slashing but this he has been working on. Some say hes not tough enough...they said that about Kevin Durant and Tayshaun Prince too which are both integral parts to their teams success.

I always like seeing FIBA players in NBA. They give teamwork and winning attitude to any team. (Y)

(AP- Portland)
Agent 0's first interview as a Blazer.

Mike: How do you feel about the move made by Washington sending you to play alongside Lamarcus Aldridge and Brandon Roy?

Agent 0: Well, I didnt not want to leave Washington but i needed a long term deal to support my family and the Blazers provided that for me.

Mike: Who are you most looking forward to playing with in Portland?

Image Image

Agent 0: [laughs] Hmm, well everyone,we have a good core of young players with lots of potential.

Mike: Do you feel you will be the man in Portland of a man amongst men? What do you plan on giving to this team to this team that you didn't give to Washington? Anything you wish to improve on?

Agent 0: Ya kno I'll always feel like I am the man. But I know that I am a man amongst men. I now got a great supporting cast here in Portland. I am still trying to recover from my past injuries on the day to day, so my goal is to get stronger and smarter.

Mike: What are your thoughts on Brendan Haywood following you into the starting lineup in Portland? Got any good memories with Haywood as a team mate? Anything that sticks out?

Agent 0: Well hes still devleoping....he has potiential and can handle the big men in the West....Memories, ah I remember him passing me the ball a lot. (laughs)

Mike: Looking at your new situation in Portland what do you see in store for Portland? How far do you think you can help take this team?

Agent 0: As far as we want to go.

Mike: Who do you fear playing most in the West? Which team and which player?

Agent 0: I fear no one. Hah. Fear is one of the things that translates into ones' success. Kobe can post me up all day long pretty easily. He is so much bigger then I am but when it comes to fearing someone Allen Iverson is my biggest fear.

Agent 0: I hate to cut this short but I got yet another practice, don't they already know I am a superstar? [laughs]

Mike: Alright thanks for your time as always Gilbert.

Agent 0: You're welcome. Take care.
