Deathbringer my friend. Can you teach me how to create such a file. And maybe we can help each other for this year's substitution fix. Thanks!

Will any of these fixes work with the All-Star Rosters. I have been trying to play the 50's vs. 60's and no one subs. Is there a way to manually sub while playing CPU vs. CPU?

Take care,
Jay
Andrew and the rest of you...GREAT WORK!!!

Hey guys, I have one question: Is it neccessary to pulling down (so much) all the players stamina to have the correct substitutions! Can't we just set ''substitution slider'' to 100 ? Example, C.Billups (from 81 to about 57 or something...) is too tired after first 5 mins of play (I play 10 min Superstar), and Rip is having about the same stamina like Billups and he is not that tired and he plays almost whole match (39 mins)

Can we pull down all the players stamina, but not too much, and set higher substitution slider to, about, 75 or 80 ??
:xmas:

Yeah. . .i'll be releasing my next fix soon. It'll increase the fatigue value a bit. But I have another problem. It seems that Aiact file and tuning files also affect the substitution of a player. I'll try to put up a better explanation on my next update.

I'm just testing it bro. So far it's 95% working. It seems that aiact, sliders, roster positions, tuning files and game setup affects the substitution. I'm trying it to different setup and later I would come up with the most generic setup so that all can benefit from it. :idea:

Hey Maek, try set SUB FREQUENCY to 70 ! (because with SUB freq at 70 starting 5 will play most of the game, about 65 to 75 % of the game). I have tested it!
And also, I hope that in your fatigue fix guards will be subbed normally (not when they couldn't ''walk'' anymore...) :)

Did you forget to turn on auto-subs? Because it definitely works.

Maek, i did a mix... I'm using some tuning files from NBA LIVE 06 ( lineups.bin, primacy.bin) with NBA Live 07's suborder.bin. It works really well with your fatigue fix, NLSC's roster and Kris aiacts... I think it works better than with the NBA Live 07's tuning files only... IMHO, you should try it too!!!

I'm playing 9 min quarter games, 45 game speed, fatigue=normal, substitutions= 50

You' re doing a fantastic job!!! :lol:

Sorry about my english!!!

Can you give me the tuning files of 06 (I've already uninstalled mine) so that we can experiment it.

Thanks for the heads up mate!

The starters doesn't have to play 65%-75% of the game all the time. That's the magic of the tuning files, it makes the game substitution spontaneous (more realistic).

Now, I just need to know how and where the substitutions are triggered. Sometimes if you call timeout to trigger the substitution, it doesn't respond to it well. Instead it makes the player stay to the court because his stamina was replenished by the timeout.

I'll try to dig in to the 08 files to see where we can edit the substitution trigger. And all will be fine then.

Andrew,

Hope that we can a find a way to fix this issue so that you can update your Official roster with my fatigue ratings matrix. And all I have to do is dig in to the tuning files or whatsoever to make a better substitution.

BTW, when will you release the next Official roster? :cool:

Hey Maek, I think I found something new... I tried to edit the simeng.txt file located at simeng...

I edited the the following lines:

PERCENT_PERIOD1_ALTERNATE_LINEUP {2}

PERCENT_PERIOD2_ALTERNATE_LINEUP {4}

For a testing purpose, I increased 2 and 4 to 80... Look the results I got:

Image

I was playing with Bulls... As you see, the playing time is almost equally divided... Off course it's not that real, but, at least, it seems that the simeng.txt file affects the gameplay!

I also tried to make changes with the fouls line...
RATING_FOUL{{39, 0.20f}, {40, 0.23f}, {41, 0.25f}, {42, 0.28f}, {43, 0.3f}, {44, 0.32f}, {45, 0.33f}, {46, 0.35f}, {47, 0.40f}, {48, 0.41f}, {49, 0.41f}, {50, 0.43f}, {51, 0.43f}, {52, 0.45f}, {53, 0.45f}, {54, 0.48f}, {55, 0.48f}, {56, 0.5f}, {57, 0.53f}, {58, 0.55f}, {59, 0.56f}, {60, 0.58f}, {61, 0.58f}, {62, 0.58f}, {68, 0.60f} {99, 0.69f}}

I increased all those 0.xxf values... In game, with the foul sliders at 100, I got to the free thow line 5 times in the first quarter....

Just before, I tried playing with all sliders at 100, and the fouls weren't so often... So, I think the simeng.txt affects the fouls in game too...

I think you should take a look at it...

I hope I'm not dreaming... If the simeng.txt affects the gameplay, we'll be able to improve it even more!!!

I will keep testing!!!! Then, I post my results!!!

it never worked for me.
-i play 5 min qtr games, with either high or normal fatigue effect.
-gamespeed at 42
-my substitution frequency slider is set at 50 to both user/cpu, like you recommended (i had it on 75 before with the same results)
-fatigue ratings vary from 40 to 55 (40-48 to pg/sg, 48-55 sf-c). i always get c and pf subbed out first. then, occassionaly, sf is subbed. but i never get sg/pg subbed out no matter how tired he is. i even had bench dweller to start one game in pg, and he never subbed out.

For the fouls, I guess the my settings is not the perfect yet. But I'll be posting my 1.2 later on.

About the simengine.txt, I thought it was only for the Dynasty simulation. But I'll take a look at it.

Thanks for the 06 tuning files. . .I'll dig in. . . (Y)
