I'm not a console expert, but I think the PS2 version will be better...? Do you have a console, or will you buy one too along with the game? Thus you might consider the price of both versions...

i think xbox is best..cause of the graphics. You should go for the one that allows the best multiplayer though.

Im getting it for Xbox.

I have a PS2 and Xbox and have played online for both, and I'm not really into it.

1) I normally only play games when I have nothing to do, except for Madden, Live, and NFL 2k4.

2) If friends are over, Id rather go do something than sit in front of a tv

And most importantly

3) On PS2 AND Xbox, the people you are playing against are always the same teams... take for instance Madden... Ive played maybe 10 games, and everytime Ive had to play against the Falcons... if im playing NCAA, I always have to play against VT... it just gets real boring. And since im not really into multiplayer in the first place, online gets boring very quickly.

Therefore, the things I look at is graphics, load times, sound, and colors.

PS2 is too bright, where Xbox is dull, but more life like... not too many real world atmospheres that are as bright as the ones youll find on PS2.

thanks for the replies guys

tales, i have both the xbox and ps2, my bro got the xbox for turning in our old ps1s and 10 of it's game and only had to pay 100 bucks for it.

jdot, i agree with how things look too bright on ps2. i've played everyone of the live seires(since 97) on sony.....maybe it's time to make a change.

thanks again guys.

i will buy it on PS2, cause, if you want to have marv albert and mike fratello, you just have to put the console in english version (because in france, we have a really bad commentator)

and i love the PS2's gamepad

no, i don't speak about xbox but i speak about PS2, in this console, when you play NBA live 2003, with the ps2 in french version (you can select which language you want to have) you have a soccer comentator(he is very very bad), so if you want to have the american comentator, you just have to select english language,

do you understand what i mean?

if you have GTA Vice city on PS2, to have more blood, you just have to put your console in english and your game will be in english, it's the same thing for NBA live, but just comentator change

ps2 or xbox

Postby Dman1224 on Mon Oct 13, 2003 11:50 am

I think everyone should go with the xbox because it
has the best graphics and the only thing wrong with
it is that you couldn't play online with xbox and you
can only play online with the ps2

XBOX :D all the way

Since you have both consoles, I'd get the game for the console you like best. That includes which controller you find easier to use, and whether you want online play.

Although it is somewhat money consuming, I would go and rent the two games and evaluate there.

X-Box

It has better graphics and I personally prefer its controller over PS2's (that's why I have one  )

the best version of nba live will be on the pc because of patches and the ability to customize the game. As far as controls, i use a ps2 controller for my pc game. Just get a 10 dollar converter.

I got mine last year and I love it on the net, I heard Radio Shack sells them too. But there's a new logitech controller that looks exactly like a ps2 controller for 20 bucks(not bad).
