Roster cuttoff??

Postby Jase23 on Wed Oct 08, 2003 10:05 am

Hi

Sorry i know this has been discussed elsewhere but i struggled to find where so I made a new one.
Was just wondering if anyone knows when the roster cuttoff date was for the game....... or can remember what it was last year?
Just curious because im an aussie, and Shane Heal has just signed with the Spurs.
Cheers.

I hope they have Kevin Garnett's extension in the game because i know i sure dont want to lose money at seasons end in resigning him... but i know i would do cause KG is my boy.

Might be different for the PC but I think I saw Sept.12 (right after Darko signed)

If past Lives are anything to go by, they'll squeeze in a couple of transactions that occurred after the cutoff date.

Shane Heal hasn't actually signed with them yet. He has signed up to try out with them hasn't he?
This is for Jase23

Carmo, whether Heal just signed with the Spurs for tryouts with the team, he stilled signed an official NBA contract, which puts him on the Spurs roster.

If players who signed for tryouts are included, wouldn't teams have more than 20 players on their rosters?

I think Heal's signing has come a little too late to be included in Live 2004.

Chipper, teams sign players for training camp (some rosters get up to 19 players), then cut down their roster before the Pre-Season starts, but keep some of the signed players, then prolly release them before the season starts.

Don't worry about salaries and length  There will be a roster with correct salaries and contract lengths.

They can fix all of that stuff when you download the rosters from the site.

HIya,
Yea he signed with them, but its a contract the Spurs can cut anytime they like pretty much. Apparantly they have Shane as a replacement for Steve Kerr.... a veteren player who can shoot.. (although not much of an NBA veteran, but a veteran all the same!)
