NBA Rumors: Tuesday, Nov. 21

Image

Are the Atlanta Hawks considering on trading away a power forward? We have yet to confirm this
rumor to the Hawks’ officials. They have interesting young power forwards in Al Horford and Marvin
Williams wherein they could get a good player in exchange of them. They have five players that
plays the four including Shelden Williams, Solomomn Jones and Steven Smith.

According to reports Tim Duncan strained his achilles tendon during San Antonio’s game against
Toronto. He still finished the game but felt some pains after. He is expected to miss at least
3 days.

J.O. Steps Up Big As Pacers Fight Off Kings Rally
November 22, 2007

INDIANA, Nov. 22 (AP)-- Mike Dunleavy stole the inbounds pass with 2.4 seconds left to seal the win for the Indiana Pacers.

Mike Dunleavy and Jermaine O’Neal both had 27 points for the Pacers. J.O. also grabbed 20 rebounds and blocked five shots to lead Indiana to a 116-113 victory over the Sacramento Kings Wednesday night.

“You better play good defense to win in this league,” Pacers coach Jim O’Brien said. “There’s no way you can win without it.”

It wasn't a pretty finish, but it was fitting for this game. The Nuggets couldn't put away Sacramento despite leading by 12 at halftime and 14 early in the third quarter. The Kings kept crawling back, thanks to their hustle.

“We were lucky they weren’t taking good care of the ball,” O’Brien said. “If not for the other teams’ turnovers we might have lost this game.”

The last turnover was the most costly for Kings. With Indiana leading 116-113, Mike Dunleavy intercepted Artest's inbounds pass with 2.4 seconds left. Dunleavy passed the ball quickly to Tinsley as time expired.

“When it is all said and done, we had a chance to send it to overtime, but we didn’t ,” Sacramento coach Reggie Theus said.

Jermaine O’Neal was a big reason the Kings didn't win. The forward had a team-high in points with 27, and he controlled the paint grabbing every rebound and rejecting some shots.

“I don’t know if we win it without Mike and JO playing like they were playing,” O’Brien said. “They had good energy.”

The Pacers led 53-41 at the intermission and increased it to 59-45 before the Kings made a run. Udrih’s free throw with 4.5 seconds left in the third cut Indiana's lead to 75-74. And then Mike Dunleavy nailed a jumper to close the third to make it 77-74.

The Pacers trailed 85-82 early in the fourth when Kareem Rush converted a three-pointer to tie it. After a defensive stop, Tinsley hit a three-pointer of his own to make it 94-91. But Artest answered back with another three to tie it.

It was a close game till the dying seconds when Sacramento got a chance to tie it but turned the ball over.

"We worked hard to come back and give ourselves a chance to win the game,'' Udrih said.

Notes: Indiana’s starters all scored in double digits. ...Pacers F Jermaine O’Neal’s 20 rebounds was a season-high. ...Kings F Ron Artest’s 22 points was a season high.

Bulls Extend Kings’ Losing Streak in 32-Point Rout in Chicago
November 23

CHICAGO, Nov. 23 (AP)-- The Sacramento Kings' losing streak continued, and the Chicago Bulls made it look easy.

The Bulls cruised to their biggest victory for this season, beating Sacramento 111-79 on Thursday night to send the Kings to their worst loss this season and extended the Kings’ losing skid to three.

"Of course I am embarrassed. We lost by 32 points," Kings forward Ron Artest said. "I'm angry. I'm always angry when I lose, but that was just flat-out embarrassing. To lose that bad was just ridiculous."

It is the sixth-straight win by the Bulls. Chicago have won eight of their last ten games and has been playing great basketball.

After winning their first game of their East coast road trip in Atlanta, it has been a downward spiral for the Kings. Losing to the Wizards, Pacers and now the Bulls. And if things don’t turn around, the Sacramento Kings management is prepared to make some moves and no one is safe, including Coach Reggie Theus.

"We take two steps forward and one giant step back," Theus said. "I don't know where this game came from. I thought we played extremely selfish tonight ... Definitely didn't see this type of game coming after the last two games we played. This was just not a good night."

Image
Luol Deng and company had a decent rest as they took over
the game in the second half.

And, unlike other teams, the Celtics didn't even try to run up the score.

Kirk Hinrich played just 18 minutes, scoring 22 points before leaving the game midway through the third quarter with Chicago ahead 70-53. No starter for the Bulls played more than 30 minutes, Luol Deng played for 29 minutes followed by Ben Wallace’s 27 minutes.

"I can't even remember having that much rest," Ben Wallace said. "It's good, because our young guys will have the time to showcase their skills."

Chris Duhon dribbled out the remaining 20 seconds of the game, rather than go for a much larger margin.

"I'm never great in math," Bulls coach Scott Skiles said. "So I couldn't figure out if we were up by 30. I wasn't even paying a lot of attention to it. But I knew we were playing well and, obviously, I looked."

Chris Webber finished with 16 points and Mike Bibby had 13 -- the only Sacramento players in double figures.

Deng scored 32, Hinrich had 22 and Gordon finished with 13. Ben Wallace was a dominating force finishing the game with 18 rebounds, 6 steals and 6 blocks for the Bulls, who were coming off a win against Memphis. Chicago improved to 7-2 at home, and the Kings dropped to 1-4 on the road.

The Kings were last within 10 points with 5:11 left in the third period. They didn't come within 20 after the Bulls took a 82-61 lead with 5:27 left in the fourth. Chicago made it 30 with about 3 minutes left in the game.

"It wasn't about the score, it was about us going out there and getting better," Deng said. "At one point, I didn't even know we were up 20 plus points."

Notes: Kings leading scorer Kevin Martin scored 9 points which is a season-low. ... Bulls F Tyrus Thomas’ 8 points all came from dunks. ... Chicago had 21 steals with 6 coming from Ben Wallace. ... This is the second game of a back-to-back for the Kings and they will play the Bucks for the last game of their road trip.

NBA Rumors: Thursday, Nov. 23

Image

Tim Duncan did not play in San Antonio’s game against Atlanta tonight because of a strained
achilles tendon but sources are saying that Duncan is no 100 and will return to action on the
Spurs’ next game.

The Boston Celtics are reported to be putting a power forward on the trade block. The news is
still scarce and it is unknown as to who the player is but we can definitely say that it isn’t the newly
acquired Kevin Garnett.

Another rumor circulating concerns the Toronto Raptors. They are rumored to be moving a
small forward out of their line-up.

We shall update you on things as it further develops.

Kings fire Head Coach Reggie Theus
November 23

Image

Sacramento, CA - The Kings have announced that Reggie Theus have been relieved of his duties as the team’s head coach.

This has been decided after Sacramento’s 111-79 loss to the Chicago Bulls. The management had high hopes for the team but felt like they needed to make some drastic changes after a disappointing start of the season.

We thank Reggie Theus for his time with us and we wish him well on his future endeavors.

Assistant Head Coach Ade Jud will temporarily takeover his duties on Sacramento’s next game at Milwaukee.

I really hope this isn't the "big shakeup" because this is really insignificant in Live... Coaches barely matter at all, especially if your playing the game because its just your playing style. Not to mention, did you actually change the coaches.dbf or just syaing that he's fired for your story? Either way, if this a big shakeup then this is really dissappointing... (N)

NBA Rumors: Friday, Nov. 24

Welcome to the NBA Rumors page. There are a bunch of rumors going around the league. So you
better check this out.

Image Image

The Sacramento Kings are probably looking to shake the make up of their team as rumors of a possible trade are very rampant. Sources have said that the Kings management were upset with the teams performance at the start the season and they started the change by firing former coach Reggie Theus. Rumors are flying around that they are looking to get an established superstar and that no one in the roster is safe. Ron Artest is probably sure to go after saying he isn’t happy with the Kings and would love to be traded.

With regards to the Atlanta Hawks, it has been confirmed that they are really in pursuit of a center. They better go and look for possible pickups in the free agent market.

The Milwaukee Bucks have also been active as they are rumored to have put even franchise player Michael Redd on the trade block. Maybe Redd won’t get traded, maybe one of their power forwards will. There are really some teams that would love to have some of their young guys, Charlie Villanueva and rookie Yi Jianlian.

Are the Pistons considering to trade a power forward to get a center? That might be the case as they currently don’t have a great center. They could probably trade Antonio Mcdyess to get a better center or maybe even Jason Maxiell.

That’s all for today! Check back next time for some updates.

Blockbuster Trade! Kings get Bryant, Radmanovic and Farmar
November 25

Image
Kobe Bryant being guarded by Ron Artest. Both were involved
in the blockbuster deal and will have to switch sides.

Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento Kings announced today that they have acquired the services of superstar Kobe Bryant, Vladimir Radmanovic and Jordan Farmar. The Kings gave Ron Artest, Mike Bibby and Kevin Martin to Los Angeles in a blockbuster six man trade.

This gives Sacramento a leader and hard worker in Kobe Bryant, a much needed shooter in Radmanovic and a developing point guard in Farmar.

Kobe Bryant has only been averaging 22.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. Those numbers are expected to get higher with this trade as he ill be the focus of the Kings offense.

Vladimir Radmanovic is only having 4.6 points per contest due to his limited playing time with the Lakers. The coaching staff are probably going to start him at the 3 spot, replacing Ron Artest.

Jordan Farmar has seen limited playing time this season but the Kings management are high on him as they think he can develop into a nice role player. He will play backup point guard as Francisco Garcia will move onto the shooting guard position.

All three guys will be presented to the media tomorrow.

They wont play at todays game against the Milwaukee Bucks as they are now in California. Orien Greene, Justin Williams and Quincy Douby will fill in the roster.

OMG WOW.

This is actually a pretty fair trade. You gave up 3 Star players so major props (Y).

Cept now you kinda have nobody except Kobe... Brad Miller is number 2 option, eh? And you are going to get shat on by Milwaukee, you have literally nobody in that game, hahahha.

Kobe as a King? wow can't imagine it, he used to torture the Kings in the playoffs in the early 2000's... haha good luck man! (Y)
