Substitution Fix

Postby Maek on Tue Nov 27, 2007 9:06 pm

How can I fix/modify the in-game substitution? Is it with the AIACT or Team.dbf?
Please help.

Thanks!

How can I edit the players.dbf? I think there's no problem with the bigman subs but the SF/SG/PG substitution is not working. Thanks!

I tried lowering them in currentdb, workingdb & originaldb. It appears to roster management that their stamina decreases too. But the problem wasn't resolved. In the game, I have set the substitution freq of CPU to 100 and fatigue factor to high. But to no avail, the CPU still doesn't sub the SF/SG/PG.

Please help me with this.

There is really no good fix to this. What we need to do is find a way to make it so that timeout and end of quarter doesn't bring players stamina back to full. Even if you put star player's stamina at 75, the player will be able to play a whole quter and a half before getting sub. This means they can play full 3rd quarter and then get sub half way through 4th quarter and they get subbed at the end of game and don't finish game!

I think I made it. I tried lowering the fatigue to a mininum level and they are now substituting correctly. For Star Bigmen 60 and 50 for not star level. For Star Smallmen 50 and 40 for not star level.

Everyone substituted correctly. I found-out that Fatigue = Minutes played. So the highest possible fatigue must be set to 60 so that they can substitute correct for bigmen and 50 for smallmen.

Try it! :P

I'll just perfect it with the NLSC Official roster. Then maybe I can upload it.

Code: Select all
 I found-out that Fatigue = Minutes played

Not really, regardless of stamina for PF and C, they will get sub out early for no reason. If you have non star player's stamina set to only 10 lower than star players then when back up are sub in, they will stay in game for long time before coming out because their stamina will be very close to star players thus their min. played will be equivalent! Even if you change stamina, depending on when time outs are called, their stamina will come back to full and still won't get sub out!

In 07, player's stamina only increase slightly with time out and end of quarter. In 08, it comes back to full. Does anyone know what file is in control of this so we can just replace 08's with 07! Or edit it so that stamina don't increase so much!

Holyshit..I got it t work. All you have to do is replace the "tuning" folder in 08 w/ 07. That brings back the 07 sub ord and players stamina only increase slightly when you call time out or at end of quater!

K..Tried this instead. Go to "tuning" folder and just delete or better yet move the file called "lineups.bin". It seems to be working for now but will see if this is just a glitch too.

Maybe the key of that problem is in ''suborder.bin''. Does anyone have some program to open that ''bin files'' ??

K. Moving lineup.bin does help but then for some reasons you can't sub in some players. Guess we are back to where we started. I don't think it's the subord file because I replaced it with 07 and still run into same problem.

One more thing about substitutions: when I manually announce the sub, it should sub it after first brakedown (foul or timeout), but it doesn't... I'm not sure if that is everytime or just sometimes... I apologize if I made some grammatic errors (my english is not perfect because I'm from Croatia...)

No wait. I've adjusted Andrews Official roster, about their fatigue.
I have posted a thread in the official roster section. And after the adjustment, all is substituting fine now. Try it! :P
