Player fluidity

I wonder if anything can be done about making the players more responsive to user input. There are many occassions where I wanted the player to do one thing (like a pro-hop or a dribble) and he backed down instead. I am not a novice NBA player, so it's not that I'm pressing wrong keys or moving the analog stick up. I also feel that the spin and crossover moves aren't really realistic looking. The spin especially looks weird. I also agree when someone in the forum mentioned that pulling off FSS moves should drain stamina - speaking of which the star players are tireless horses, while the mere peons are like arthritic tuberculosis patients. hmm..
