Defending inside

hate to complain and dunno who has already posted something about this. But anyone have any idea on how to stop the insane amount of dunking??? the AI cant throw down all that much but playing against someone is a slam dunk contest. I would like to play like you would a real game... but someone controlling Kobe can just turbo+dunk all day. BTW NBA Live 08 for PS2

Real easy... ud want a center/power with at least 80 blocking rating.. when they drive to dunk either try to take a charge... get in front of em and push take charge.. or try to position ureself behind them at a diagonal angle and swat..

Ull get more blocks from \ / angles just behind the player than if ure standing infront of them trying to block a dunk ive found..

yeah that makes sense of course.... too many people just dribble into the paint and dunk (in my case Kobe about 80 points all of them dunks from everywhere).....

All scoring is like that, I honestly think that 80% of scoring come from dunks and layups. I was just thinking that maybe there should be a roster with all the players inside scoring rating down to see if that helps. Another issue is the transition defense, they just let the offense go right ahead of them giving you no chance to stop them.

You can also try reducing the Dunk/Layup slider so that players attempt more layups than dunks, since layup tend to be easier to challenge.
