funny. all im gone say is this... some of you new guys obv. have no clue about nlcs, and what we acheive, go ahead and uninstall, because i can promise, some of you whether you post or not, will be reinstalling live, when some of the bad azz patches come out. i havent got the game, but ill have it, soon, to support the community, not ea, so once you clowns get off ya high horse, and realise that A. yes this game will be a modified version of 07. B. the guys we have here are, and always have put ea's work to shame, to make the game enjoyable for all. and C. it's a game sit back and have fun, and try to figure out how to contribute, instead, of it has crappy lighting blah blah blah.

to the good guys! i think with this modified version, we'll be able to have a very succesful year, this should be the year we can turn out live 07/08, and sit and wait for the next gen models, until they produce it, i say we call it a slow down process, since they have given us a modified version, we work with that, and dont buy the follwing year until next gen is ported. i know easier said than dun, but hey worth a try. cya in the modding world soon fellaz, lets make this 1 beautful!

Well, that's quite an optimistic outlook I guess...
I wasn't expecting much ater last year's fiasco, but after seeing all this crap, this is the first time I'm considering not buying Live after almost 10 years of loyalty...At least, I was expecting something as bug-free as possible, but that doesn't even seem to be the case.
I'm sure patches will make it better in the long-run but it's still mighty disappointing to see that EA has completely given up on us.

can you choose season to be short/medium/long in the dynasty mode this year? i sure hope so because that, beside the bugs, was my main problem last year.

Yeah, I agreee with you storm74...Last year has the most bugs of any NBA versions but I still enjoyed playing it with all the patches coming out...I am still buying the game, and I still think that with the abilities of the people here in NLSC will make this game worth it...

Yeah, the NLSC team will make the game better, I know. But we PC bb gamers are settling for crumbs on the dinner table.

I mean EA should have just released NBA Live 07 patch 1.1 and not 08 lol.

I will uninstall it right now.

Have you try holding the pass button? Last year there's a 3 different way to pass. 1 is tab the pass button where player stop and catch. 2 is tab and tab again in mid air to quick pass it to another made. 3 is hold the button and the player running will catch the ball and continue running.

I'm also very disappointed with the 08 version.
Haven't played 07, and still plaing 06, but now they haven't fixed anything in 08, also a lot of guys complainted about 07, I really don't understand this :-(
ok, console version, bla bla, PS2, blabla I'm just interested in the PC version (the good old days ..)

I mean these low-res menus (640x 480 !!) can't be in 2007.
Nearly all guys play on a TFT today, and 1280 or at least 1024 is standard, and anything other looks horible
even in the game itself, there are graphics (ea logo etc) which are "blurred"
and then this free-throw thing from 07, everyone hated this, but it's still in

and where is my press-box camera view ? all the others are shit
ok, the on court is a nice idea, but the overview is bad

at least they put out the superstar-plays (btw. how to I activate the new go-to moves now ?)

and where is a anti-alising option in the graphics menu ? every game has this, only NBA not, I mean this game does not take too high hardware requirements

an at last, as everyone else already mentioned here, where is the big difference to 07 to make it 08 ?

EA is destroying my most loved game (series) :-(

Just force it with your graphic card/drivers control panel, that's what I have done for I don't know how many years. I do AF and AA from it. There is no performance hit because Live's engine is so unintensive.

If you had been around this forum earlier, you would have seen those of us in the know informing everyone it was not going to be anywhere close to being like those as it was a PS2 port.

maybe it was taken during a transition or something cause you can see the net and shot clock faded out a little.

I took just after exiting the menu, maybe thats what caused it disappear.

Has anyone with the pc version figured out to walk when starting a play? CPU does it, I'm wondering if we can

yeah, I know, but then I have to go into the control panel every time before I play the game , change settings, play and then after the game I have to remember to set it back, because the next game I play has the AA sliders in game (like nearly every other game has it)
that's simply poor

If you have Nvidia you can set it individually for each game/.exe, I cannot vouch for AMD/ATI.

You can if you've got a dual analog gamepad. It's just a matter of pushing the left stick slightly in the direction you want to move.

Nice I'll try it thanks :)

I guess we all know now why EA didn't release the PC version for almost a month. They developed xbox360 & ps3 versions, then in less than a month created the pc version lol

edit: a few other things that make me want to ram an aircraft into EA Canada.

Create a player: I couldn't believe it - but the preview part got even worse. All of the haircuts look identical due to lack of quality. nothing new: no tats, no bands, nothing. I hope it was me being stupid, but I haven't found the part where you can change the dunk packages. I reeallly hope I just didn't find it, because if they removed it .. God help EA Canada ..

I might be mistaken, but didn't the New York branch of EA take over NBA Live this year?
