Well I'll put the pictures up ASAP, but I messed up my eye today playing ball. I went to dive for a loose ball nd got shouldered right under my eye. Completely blacked out for atleast ten seconds, wow I thought I was lost somewhere. Anyways any interesting stories of getting hurt playing basketball?

My balls are knee magnets.
There's also the "accidental" but obligatory hit to my face whether it be face to face, elbow to face, hand to face, or ball to face.

That happens to me everytime an opponent saves ball possession and I'm also going for it. The opponent dives for the ball then throw it on my face, then the ball goes out of bounds, their possession. :shake:

Same here, i was really mad that they hit me in the face. :x But most of the time, my opponent hit me in the feet which is really annoying. :x
Also just hurt my knee two months ago.

- Strained finger muscles, because I didn't let go of the rim (must have happened about 10 times now)
- jumped, someone shoved me off balance, I messed up my landing and twisted my spine -> back spasms for about two weeks (twice)
- jumpers knee (always)
- torn ligament (both ankles)
- elbow, shoulder head or ball to face -> various black eyes and lacerations (every other time I play)
- someone brought me down hard -> concussion (once)

All of these happened to me. But I've been playing very physical ball for about 17 years now, so that's ok...

Surely only the accidental fouls should count against you. What kind of league are they running?! :cussing:

Getting thumb-spiked in the eye while driving through the lane wasn't a good experience at all... had a headache all day.

Another injury that I had was pretty fucked up as well... as I rejected this guy's shot, we both landed weird on our ankles and bam, sprained ankle each. I got an injury, he had an insult (shot-blocked) added to his injury.

Because this kind of discrimination and implied attack is not accepted. This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated, and in breach of the forum rules. Hope this is clear, because this is your last warning.

I cracked a finger twice, twisted my ankle on numerous ocassions, fell over my ass when trying to dunk on my high school gym teacher (it hurts like hell), a lot of guys tried to break my nose and I had an internal bleeding in my balls because someone hit me with his knee. Worst pain ever, I was *this* close to passing out in front of my school. One day later, my balls were filled with blood and the size of an orange. I'm completely fine now and still have my balls left, thankfully, but I played basketball only once after that (a streetball competition, when a guy tried to break my nose and grab my balls. What a fucking fag.). Since then, the only thing I do with a basketball is when I shoot around or dunk.

What do you expect, you look like Tom Cruise, everybody wants to either hurt you or grab your balls, or both.

Holy crap, I hope something like that never happens to me. I'd rather be ugly like I am and have my balls in perfect shape than getting the "Fenix" treatment.

Why is it a discrimination? We all know now that he's gay. Would you feel offended if I say to you "go lick a vagina, Ty"?

The worst injury I´ve had is when I broke my thumb. Some guy was trying to dunk the ball and I went up to block it. I got the block but my hand got bent backwards over the rim cause the guy was so much stronger (and heavier) than me. I couldn´t play for three or four months I think. This was about 10 years ago but my thumb is still hurting sometimes.

There's a point where one is just joking around and when one is being jeering and hurtful. I see your point though, that there's nothing wrong with it because that would be setting Axel apart from everyone else. But that is not being inclusive, it's exclusive to say something like "Axel likes balls". Of course, I guess it would really depend upon what Axel thought anyways...

Where is that line? And why do you think I crossed that line?

It is pretty darn "exclusive" to say no one can make fun of Axel or "discriminate" or be "hurtful" to him, considering what is said about a lot of other forum members on here. And I sure hope we are not changing our interpretation of the rules to read "do not make fun of others."

If we are going to interpret the "Insulting criticisms or remarks" and "Do not post hate speech" clauses of the rules, on their way out, so broadly as to shut down only speech we do not like, Jae is probably spinning in his grave...

Just edit your post Maaarf to say "benji" instead of "Axel", let's all say "benji" instead of "Axel" now.
