gamespot, ign, etc.. reviews are so horrible, is this true?

I may be wrong (don't follow Live much at all anymore), but weren't the "hopeful" and good reviews (like from pastapadre) for NBA Live 08 for Xbox360 and PS3 while the bad ones were for the PS2/PC versions (which most of us here play)?

The current gen and next gen games are completely different, and while the next gen game looks like a big upgrade from 07, it doesn't really look the same for us playing on PC.

The Xbox 360/PS3 reviews haven't necessarily been overwhelmingly positive but the PS2 and Wii versions thus far seem to be the platforms touted as being the bigger disappointments. I can't comment on how the Wii version plays but as far as the PS2 version is concerned there are improvements here and there but the biggest disappointment for me personally is that none of the new Dynasty Mode features made it to the PS2 version (and the PDA is still there).

First of all, it won't kill you to use punctuation marks and caps. Secondly, I have every right to bitch about EA. I've been playing since Lakers vs. Celtics baby and that was in 1989. These developers are total idiots. They don't bother to ask us what they'd done right and what they'd done wrong. If they had seriously kept all the good stuff and tossed the bad through these 18 years, we'd have an incredible bball game.

Stuff like:

1) In game saves
2) Simple interfaces/Windows type menu - one year they tried ghetto graphics menus
3) Rebounding (there was a few years where they got it spot on. then some years where O rebounds were ridiculously easy to get.)
4) Assists (one year, I couldn't get 10 assist/game to save my life - the stupid game didn't count it as an assist if the receiver so much as moved half an inch after receiving ball)
5) Freestyle (introduced in 2003 way too powerful, 2004 - useless. the so-called year of the Defense. They turned offense off completely and hoped that would pass as good defense. 2005/2006 good balance)
6) Separate dunk, shoot, layup buttons - great idea and now it's gone.

I know what you are talking about, i'm not saying NBA Live is perfect. I don't know when the game first created but I remember NBA Live 95 so it must have been more than 12 years. If the producers didn't notice any discussions or requests of their fans for 12 years, i'm not expecting them to do it in the future neither. That's why I'm saying "just enjoy" because they will not do anything. For me they are total losers. Fans are the reason why they are rich, fans should get what they want/deserve or at least they must TRY to offer something. This is happening coz they don't have any rivals for the PC version. Fifa went down really bad after Pro Evolution Soccer and Winning Eleven came up for PC. I want Asians' Konami or some company make a basketball game..
