ABOUT:
We want NTeams LIVE 08 to carry on with the tradition of quality patch work that it has represented in the past. The series has always been a favorite and the goal is to create another great edition to the upcoming installment of NBA LIVE 08. We are looking for quality patchers to help with JERSEYS, COURTS, and supply high (or best available) quality photos to use for PORTRAITS.

The nice people at eurobasket.com have agreed to help in providing stats and ratings of player for certain countries... But some teams still need ADVISERS, so if you want to be help supply stats and ratings for one of the 30 international teams, please let me know. The teams in RED need ADVISERS, and the teams in BLUE do not. Here are the teams that will appear in this years patch:

Hey everybody. Provided that we are able to patch LIVE 08 and use many of the files from LIVE 07, there WILL be an NTeams 08 patch for LIVE 08. Well... That is, if there is any interest.

Some of you may remember this project from the old nbalive.org days. I did cyberfaces and portraits for NTeams 2004, I did over 200 faces and portraits for Euroleague 2005 & 2006 (many of which still show up in Euro patches all the time), and I did the roster and cyberfaces for NTeams 06. Well, I suffered some burnout for 07, and also because LIVE 07 out-of-the-box was technically the equivalent of feces on a disc.

I know it is early, but I am beginning initial work on the ROSTER, and in the meantime I want to compile some people to be a part of this MOD with me. Once again, I will be doing the ROSTER, most of the CYBERFACES/PORTRAITS (and maybe the COURTS) for NTeams 08. I would really like to get some quality and dependable patchers to do the JERSEYS and IN-GAME ART (front end logos, jersey previews, etc.) and COURTS. That would be awesome. If you want to submit faces, images for PORTRAITS, or other quality work, that will also be need as well. The main thing is, I want it to be a solid, stable, aesthetically sound MOD that you can play without messing up your NBA game. I have quite a bit of experience doing these patches, so please let me know if you'd like to join me to make this MOD happen. Thanks, guys!

i'm pretty sure there will be a lot of interest in this D-Fish, just look at the NTeams 07 thread... it's like a team of shepperds flocking a bunch of rabid highly testosteroned sheeps... so it's really nice too see you taking initiave to take the helm again, i can say based on the ps2 08 files that most of the work done in past live iterations can still be converted... and if you still remember the tutorial i did back at .org on how to make 05 headshapes work on more current ones, i'm pretty sure you can still salvage a hefty amount of the 200+ cyberfaces you did before...

good luck on this man if you plan to push through with it, pretty sure other NTeam patchers that specialize in front end, jerseys and courts will come to your aid in time for 08...

Big thanks Glen. I hope this is the case. I've really been out of the loop for the past year or so--again, because 07 was initially a fiasco before the patchers fixed it--so, I wasn't sure if there were as many good patchers that were interested in National Teams/Eurobasket stuff. Back at .org, I pretty much knew everybody, so it was much easier getting stuff like this together. I KNOW that people will be interested in downloading an NTeam patch, but my hope is that I can get good patchers to join me in this endeavor. Anyhow, that is why I've chosen to post so early... Plus, I don't want to drag the release out till LIVE 09 comes out. Thanks. (Y)

and let me get this clear. i expected such reaction from your side, so don't think i'm crying my eyes out to join your team. it's either accept/decline deal. we had issues in the past. so either we forget them and work as a team, or the forums will have the opportunity to choose yours or mine. but that means double work for me and for you...i have some of the files prepared, so my project is on with or without you. but i think it's time for us both to get smart and work on the goal we both are reaching - to produce the best national team stuff available, because in recent years this sphere has been lead to disappointments. and together it would be easier...

Yeah, I checked out some of Joker's work. His portraits are absolutely great .

UltraNIX, I wouldn't expect you to cry for anything... especially not to work with me again. First of all, I wasn't happy with your Euroleague ROSTER and I am very particular about ROSTERs. Secondly, I am not familiar with your In-Game ART or your JERSEY work outside of the Zalgiris jersey. I completely agree with you about the recent iterations of Eurobasket, Euroleague, and FIBA work. Not to sound overtly cruel, but it has been sub-par in my opinion... That is why I wanted to create my own. And when I said "I need to think about it", I mean it. If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to see some of your jersey work and other stuff, before I can 100% say yes. PM me, and we will talk... Thanks!

i guess i reached the level, when i don't need to promote myself anymore. if you haven't seen any of my work, then you must be living on the wrong planet, dude. or you've been living only on the euroleague-national teams based world. either way, search forums, i'm sure you will find something, since i've made many great projects alone - starting from 2003:
2003: 2 all-time legends team jerseys (each player personal jersey),
2004: Athens (completely everything)
2005: Euroleague roster, technical side.
2006: NCAA art (jerseys, logos)
2007: Eurolegends, spalding ball you see in the most of previews, vintage nbc scoreboard.

and those are only the biggest patches. so i don't really need that "re-evaluating" of my capabilities, which are much higher than yours, with all the respect to you. but we aren't arguing who's better/more talented now. so if you have any problem with me - fine. if you haven't - fine as well. i don't have anything against working together. i am ready to forget all our issues because it's sad to see the quality of the "outside nba" patches now.

Not for Euroleague, but did some portraits for NTeams patch back in 2005 or 2006 when DANet asked me to help.

I am sure that UltraNIX, Joker and D-Fish would be great team. It's like patchers dream team I just love UltraNIX Athens 2004 mod, Joker portraits and D-Fish's and DANet's NTeams 06 mod. These are top quality works. Good luck with this project

Thanks pksts, for the kind words. We still need somebody to do the JERSEYS... I also, don't think that UltraNIX will be participating in this patch. I guess he will be doing his own. Thanks again, for the kind words! I think this is going to be a really cool patch!

If we get a good enough team together to make NTeams LIVE 08 and we do it quickly, then we may also do EUROLEAGUE 08. Right now we really need a person for JERSEYS.
