Free Throw Shooting

Postby MaD_hAND1e on Mon Oct 06, 2003 2:09 pm

I think i saw in one of the videos, that free throws don't have the cross thingy any more, instead they put it on the back board, i was think that this would be a good idea, cos u know how in away games in the real NBA, the crowd waves balloons to put the player off? i guess now they put the free throw cross on the backboard, and the crowd waving their balloons, tht could also put u off from shooting ur free throws, adding to realism again!!

hehe, i didn't realise either, until i read a post about how they have realistic crowd and balloons, then i realised it, hard to realise tht even these little things that no one gives a damn about has an affect on the realism. I guess in later lives they could give a player confidence rating, where if they get booed by the opposing crowd a lot, they start to play crap, well... i can dream can't I :D
can't wait to get my hands on even the demo!!!

i remember nba live 98 had that..the home team had to press all the butons on the pad to make the crowd wave and make freethrows harder for the shooter..anyone remember that?

I remember that. (Y)

The new free throw shooting system seems OK, as long as we can shoot good percentages with good free throw shooters.

Couldn't agree with you more... FT is the easiest shot to make in basket ball, or so they say...

Just another reason why NBA Live 2004 is the best basketball game ever! That is the best idea, hope ea does that especially in playoff games where things should get hectic (excuse my spelling).
