Dude, that sucks harsh.

There's several different ways of doing so without cheating. If you're skilled, you can BSM over the barriers :P

Since when was GTA IV delayed only just noticed that? i was kinda looking forward to playing this game pretty soon seeing as i loved Saints Row but im sure GTA will be much better.

San Andreas was king, great game with some great missions and the main character stole my real name lol. I found flying school quite easy for some reason i passed it like 2nd or 3rd go round, just take your time and should pass it quite easy.

Yeah, it takes me around 3 or 4 tries to beat Flying School and some of the harder GTA missions. But I refuse to use cheat codes - IMO, it takes the challenge out of the game.

I just finished GTAIII & Vice City for the umpteenth time. Now I'm starting a new SA game.

4 times only? I think I should go back and try it. If I still don't get past that mission, I'll uninstall it so that Live 08 would have some space. :|

And yeah, the "Supply Lines" mission of Zero took a lot of wasted patience. I've finished it after several tries. There was a time that I am near the landing area, then the wing hit some wall or something, and it flipped around as the fuel runs out. :x

Like I said, Flying School is more manageable every time I start a new game. But I refuse to do the Zero missions. After Vice City's "Demolition Man" & "Bombs Away", I want nothing to do with RCs.

The thing about GTA VC is that it's really damn easy, at least for me. GTAIII was a bitch for me to finish and SA takes ages, because well, it's a big place :o

Jeffx wrote:See, that's why SA is my favorite, because there's so much more to do. The only thing that bugs me are "Flying School", those damn Woozie driving missions once you hit the badlands and missions when you need your homies(the AI is pitiful). Other than that, SA is ultimate GTA with a killer soundtrack. I love GTA III & Vice, but they're a little bland compared to SA, IMO. It doesn't get any better than 'Black Project', 'A Home in the Hills' and 'Breaking the Bank at Caligula's'.

Well, I like the depth but at the same time I don't necessarily like that certain side missions/tasks are required to keep the game going. With VCS for example, I just can't be bothered building an empire; I'd rather play through the story missions and dabble with the side stuff for variety.

I hate flying missions no matter what instalment of GTA we're talking about. I'm yet to complete Dildo Dodo in the original VC, which is why it's been sitting on the shelf for a few months now.

If you got two people the dodo mission is pretty easy, one person does the flying one person does the bomb dropping, me and a friend did it first shot this way heaps effective, we are talking about the mission where you drop the bombs on the boats?? arent we?? lol.

It's the one where you need to drop flyers around the city.

It took me forever to master that - instead of days , I can nail it in my first or second try. The keys are keeping the plane at a steady level, avoiding sharp turns and not panicking if you miss a checkpoint - just come back to it later. The hardest checkpoint is the one between the skyscrapers.

The mission that follows, "G-Spotlight" was a b!tch until someone told me you can use a helicopter instead of a bike.

Damn, then I must be really pro at GTA VC. You have to start at the one near the biker bar, then move backwards so the last one you have to do is the one in front of the airport where you can hopefully get it and then crash it without worrying :P

Hunter...until you unlock it.

There's also a bunch of one-time mission vehicles.

During the summer i had beaten Vice City. Took up several days as i did well over 50+ hours trying to beat it.

I have GTA3 and SA but have only had limited time playing them due to my good computer being taken away. (somehow this piece of shit comp plays vice city)

Thanks for the tips. When I've got the patience I'll have another shot at it. :)

And if you find yourself getting tired, take a break and come back to it later. Unless you're aiming for 100% completion, I don't think the studio missions are necessary to unlock the final missions.

I'm in the middle of SA. Just did the Los Santos(Pt. 1) missions, now it's on to the Badlands. Catalina's missions are some of the best in the game(except for the two driving missions). That's my kryptonite.

I bleed GTA, so I'm loving this thread.

 to Catalina's quadbike chase mission. I failed the first time so what I did is I brought a bike with better handling just a few steps away from the mission marker, and I was able to finish the mission.

I did the same thing. Her voice completely shits me. So sometimes when the bad guys got slightly too far away, i would jump off the quad, and shoot her. A lot. It made me feel better.

It's amazing Claude was able to tolerate that bitch for so long. We're talking a nine-year span from SA(1992) to GTA III(2001).
