I need a good RPG game

Postby Lean on Tue Oct 09, 2007 10:10 am

Alrighty, I'm stuck at San Andreas. I need a new game. A good RPG game.

My PC's specs (they aren't good) :

1.4GHz AMD Sempron
256MB DDR
128MB DDR GeForce FX5500
Some few space on the hard drive

Elder Scrolls IV will definitely not run on my PC. Any advice on what RPG game to buy?

Chrono Trigger.

EDIT: You might be able to run Knights of the Old Republic. Not on max, but probably on medium.

Dungeon Siege. It's old but good, and easy on the specs. I hate to suggest it, but WoW would probably run just fine.

Final Fantasy 7 or 8. I don't know if the later ones have it on PC.

Kotor 1 and 2 will run fine. Hell, my lappy has a GMA900 and i played both.

Go old skool and pick up Morrowind. either that, or Dreamfall might work you. (Y)

Fallout 1 and 2, you'll be entertained for a very, very long time. You can't beat those games. You can get them both for ten bucks new, and they're the greatest games I've ever played.

^ Stupid.
Of course I can't also remember now, since it was also a long time ago for me.

I don't know if you're mocking me because there is no FF8 on the PC or you're mocking me for recommending it.
If it's the former, yes numbnuts, FF8 is available for the PC. Just look for it in DataBlitz under the classics/bargain section.

^ it's neither the former or the latter you mentioned, FF8 for pc really has 5 cds... the dude just expressed his disdain about it, it's the smiley used that threw you off shadowgrin...

you could try neverwinter nights Lean, or just buy a cheap controller instead to help you over those flying missions on GTA San Andreas or other games in the future... :)

I see.
I never bought the PC version, but I clearly remember seeing one, as I bought a PC version of FF7.

Controllers are now cheap Lean, you cheap bastard.
Even Logitech has that decent blue one with 10 buttons that only cost me less than 500 pesos.

lol, your like Lean's big e-brother shadowgrin... i can imagine you now smacking his head while saying it...

i just saw your post on the "i'm going to hell for this moments" thread... i'll virtual high five you here instead, because we also both agree that Lean should just purchase a cheap controller... :cheeky:

Bah, there are controllers that are priced at 150 Php (cheaper than the cheap controller that you mentioned), but I'm just cheap. I already learned that smashing the keyboard ain't the solution, but I keep on using it.

That woman on the gates of Vault City asked some question and I gave (probably) a wrong answer so she won't let me in. I don't get it why Sulik can't use his sledgehammer to break the walls of Vault City down.

Grampy Bone is ashamed of Sulik.

EDIT: I've played both KoTOR I and II (my all-time favorite RPG's to date), Neverwinter Nights and its two expansions (fuck Shadows of Undrentide for being an easy module), Dungeon Siege, and FFVIII (but not able to finish it, the game hangs everytime the boss Griever appears on the second to the last battle).

I think they made Fable the Lost Chapters for PC (originally for just xbox). Maybe I'm wrong, but if they did.... get it. Get it now.

I think WoW requires a credit card to play.

Considering how cheap Lean is, WoW is definitely a no for him.

I checked, and they did make it for PC. If the specs fit your PC, do yourself a big favor and track down a copy. Fable is literally the best RPG I've ever played.

I've also finished that game. It's pretty long if you do all side quests and these. My only disappointment is that the main character is the only person who grows old (old as in very old), and that the dragon Jack of Blades is easier to defeat than the first.

Indeed, you need all 25 silver keys to get those pieces of metal on your character.

I maintained that title up to "The Arena" quest. Sounds cool
