NBA 2K8 Demo

Yes at least 2k is way ahead of Sony's game. As for Live, I haven't played it much tbh, but just because of franchise mode I'd say Live is far ahead of it too.

I'll be getting the demo as soon as skate is finished.

The graphics are alright I suppose, but the players faces are absolutely weird looking at times. Movement felt too automatic last year, but at the same time was fairly smooth, especially when compared to videos of Live. But in all it just didn't feel like the devs knew a lot about basketball or were big basketball fans. I thought that one mode where you travel around the US and take over cities was fun on the psp though, probably even better on a console, but other than that I definately wouldn't buy the game. Nba 07 kinda reminded me of Live 05 in alot of ways, in that it was just so simple.

NBA 2K8 DEMO

Postby galette on Fri Sep 21, 2007 7:37 am

The nba 2K8 is available for Xbox360. The demo size is around 320 Mo
I played this morning.
You can only play CLE vs SA for 2 quarters of 4 mins.

I didn't see a lot of improvements in this version vs NBA2K7 and I don't know yet if I buy NBA2K8 or NBA LIVE 08.

2. This thread is about NBA 08 for the PS3.

His post was originally a "NBA 2K8 DEMO" thread.

That post was pointless.

Anyway I've split the topics, I'm guessing whoever merged the threads got the two games confused.

i played the demo again for some time yesterday......the game seems to be relly easy on PRO level. i whooped the Cavs with 16 points and i dont even play 2k games. and it was the 7t game i played.

it is too easy to dribble around one-on-one and to lay it up. parker, manu , lebron, duncan all wouldnt miss for me inside.

if they make the controls more like live i'm gonna buy it for sure. I probably will buy both, though i like live more.

In 2k you can change slider to make shots more difficult. U can't do that in the demo tho. I make things harder to make it more "realistic" cause If I'm blowin out the computer every game, that ain't fun. Sometimes I like to come from behind

I might be neither 2k8 or Live '08....I got PS3, so no doubt huge framerate issues for Live '08....if 2k8 isn't a big improvement on 2k7, then I'll just pass....I've got college hoops 2k7, so that might have to keep me going if none of the current titles improve much....

You haven't played the demo cause you have a PS3 now right?
I wouldn't pass, the 2k8 demo is amazing and the game is gonna be just sick, comparing 2k7 and 2k8 is like comparing 2k7 and Live 07, it's that much better

Maybe, it's just me but after playing 2k7, I don't think 2k8 is all that big of an improvement. To be honest, I was hoping for a lot more...
