Converted Roster/All missing faces and portraits

It looks like player injuries are causing a problem. Try turning off injuries and see if that fixes it. I'll try and look more into it when I get time.

EDIT: Just got the same error as you when testing the new converted roster.It could be a problem with the originaldb files from 05. I'll look at the 07 originaldb files and compare them to 05 and see if that is the problem.

Hello. I found the problem why we cannot play Dinasty mode with your files. In players.dbf in the Dinasty save folder, there are two columns related to injuries (injury date and recovery date). When I open them in Excel and check their properties, they appear as text format, instead of number. I changed them to number and put a 0 in both for every player and now it works. I am half way through a Dinasty game with no problems.

Two questions:
1. For the coaches missing, I don't really care what they look like, just don't want to see a pink face on the court. Can I just copy the viv file for one and rename it? I tried but it did not work. I went to the sgsm folder, coaches, copy one of the viv files and renamed it maiava.viv, but the Grizzlies coach still looks pink. How do you fix this?
2. I also want to use some speech files for the new players. Since the in-game commentator mainly says just the surname, I wanted to get the file for someone called Williams for example and use it for Deron Williams (Jazz) for example. How can I assign that? Players.dbf?

strange thing.

i tried to do the same but whenever i enter " 0 " and then close the file, as soon as i reopen it i get colums of " '0 "

i don't really know why this happens :/
using openoffice though.

celltype is set to number like it should be :/

can you probably send your players.dbf (or the complete roster, dunno if my problem occurs somewhere else as well) to me?
or load it up somewhere?

I have never uploaded anything to Filefront so I hope it is okay.

It contains three files:
players.dbf and appearance.dbf slightly modified from Ryan's:
- You can now play Dinasty
- Changed the date of birth for all players so they have the right age for the 2007/2008 season
- Randomly assigned about 12 different types of shoes (working ones, obviously, not pink) to players so they are not all the same
- Slightly increased the stats of Scola and Navarro. They are superstars in Europe and were really undervalued. Now their average is around 70. (Still low in my opinion but lets see how the real ones do in the NBA before increasing it further)

It also contains the tasklist.dbf file adapted for those who play 6 minute quarters, so you need less points per game, rebounds, total points, etc to achieve those tasks. This file, you need to copy it not only to your saves folder but also to database/originaldb/, database/workingdb/ and database/currentdb/ folders.

About my two questions in the post before. Any ideas?

Hi Rudy! Can you email me the patch for Pat Riley? I've already updated my roster with 2007 rookies and CFs. Don't really care much for coaches but its a bit annoying to see a pink headed coach along the sidelines.

Well, if you look at my previous posts, you will see I am actually asking how to get rid of the pink faces for some coaches myself. I don't care if they don't look like the real one. I would even copy/paste one good one to all the missing ones. I tried that but it did not work. (copy one the existent ones and rename to maiavar.viv, but still pink face for the Grizzlies coach)So if someone finds out how to do it...

hey ryan, think you could convert andrew's v1.14 when its been released? im still having problems trying to convert updates rosters and whatnot. anyway, this conversion could also be like a gift to me since that special day of mine is when andrew's next roster update[v1.14] is being released

The file is compressed. All you have to do is open it with WinRar, which is free.

All you have to do is click on the link from my post, fileplanet page opens, click on "Download this file now!", select one of the free public servers, a new window opens, click on "Click here to continue to the public queue". When the file ios ready, you can see "Click here to begin download" and that is it.

here's a problem i've posted i an other thread as well but as i using the sgsm posted in this thread, i think it might be helpful posting it in here, too.

i'm playing a dynasty with the mavs. everything is alright this far. a problem occurs when i have to play against the timberwolves. when i wanna start the game, it gets me directly back to the desktop without any failure notice. the thing is, that this problem only occurs when i have to play the wolves. i tried to sim the game, which worked alright, and started the follwing game against the spurs, what also worked properly. so i tried to start an exhibition game against the timberwolves and again it brings me back to the desktop. so i guess there might be something wrong with some file regarding the timberwolves. any ideas what this could be?

i tried a different jersey. still the same outcome. and it can't be the stadium as it is a home game for me.

i guess there might be a problem with some player(s)...

maybe i should add, that i use andrew's roster and the sgsm from ryan. might this be a problem?

That is probably because I took the rosters from my dinasty game when I was one week into the season. If you open players.dbf, look for columns INJURYDATE and RECOVRDATE and set them to 0 for all players

I might upload a new version just before the season starts, when all the transfers have been made.

I have updated the link on my previous post to the three updated files so there are no injured players and some other adjustments.

does it also update the roster to the current transactions as well?
