Getting Live 2004 for a lower price

Postby Full Surface on Wed Oct 01, 2003 6:27 am

I thought the price for the Live 2004 PC version was only $30 but I just checked BestBuy.com and it's actually $40. My computer isn't a monster machine so I don't know if spending that amount of money on a game that I won't be able to play smoothly would be worth it. I do want to buy Live 2004 however, but only for less. I don't want to get a used one online on eBay or a similar auction site because credit card security is an issue for me. I'd rather go to the store and buy it myself. Anyone here have ideas of local stores (located in the US) that would sell it for a cheaper price?

PC games can range anywhere from 34.99 to 39.99. Best Buy usually will have something after the release where they'll sell it for 29.99 sometimes.(on the following weekend after release)

EA store has the game for 49.99? So I might have to get it at Gamestop/Babbages for 34.99.

Around Southern Cali, there's a store called Fry's Electronics, and they have really cheap electronics. They have ads in the LA Times all the time, and they were selling Madden 2004 PC for $30, and hopefully they'll do something like that for Live 2004.

Well, here in Australia NBA Live 2004 is priced at $100, but I'm getting it for $90 from Harvey Normans, coz I've got it on pre-order, and because I payed $10 there and then, they are giving me an extra $10 off the price, bringing the price of the game down to $90. Saweet!

Prices are different in every country.

GameStop's site has Live 2004 listed a $35 (plus tax) so I might have to order it from there. The only catch is that you have to buy it online to save $5 off. Then if you actually go to the store, the price may vary.

I believe it'll be something like $50-60 in Australia. PS2 and XBox are both $100.
